At MIA we pulled away from them in our turf after knockign Jessie Hughes out and he is dinged up here so no idea who we will see from them. Both teams playing for meagre playoff hopes.

Two big edge runs get us into the orange zone and we battel from tehre to go up 6. Hughes is in and he hits soem intermediate stuff but they dry up in the RZ and get a FG. We get stuffed on 3rd and 1 but we fget oru own 3and O only to fumble and lose the PR. MIA dinks and dusts their way to anothe rFG and tie game.

We stay efficient and grind out a long drive to go back up a TD. WR Kemp comes through a number of times for MIA and they ram it in on 3rd adn goal form teh 1 to tie things up. Sheldon overcomes a holding call for our O and we convet a few to get a FG off and over the crossbar. Kemp goes over 100 yards on teh day but he can't reel them all in so we head into the half.

we have 8 completions but onyl for 77 yards as we need to start breakign tackles, also over 100 on teh ground but most runs are 5 yarders. Will see if we can get Hughes into some mistakes in teh 2nd as well to complement the 8 penalties for 77 that MIA already has.

MIA can't overcoem the holding call and we get downfield pretty easy until the RZ and tack on another FG. Anothe rsto for our DL as we are dominating teh LOS now. Woodard is stayign away from Crabtree and double coverage and possession man SHeldon breaks one for 40 finally to set us up for a pitch adn catch to Crabtree for the TD and 13 point advantage. MIA comes stormign back though with a long and steady drive capped off by anothe r1 yard run as they get up to 8/14 on 3rd early in the 4th.

We fail on 3rd and short yet again as Crabtree has a rare drop on hsi horrible day at 3/9 for 30 ayrds so far. MIA is lucky to recover their own PR fumble and Hughes lets the series get away from him but we can0't connect with Te Schulz despite a couple attempts so MIA gets another chance jus tinsiee of 9 minutes down 6. Hughes hits a few throws to set them up in FG range and we get them into a goal to go after a DPI call on an extreme familiar and they hit Seeley on3rd and 14 to tie and go up with the 1 with teh XP inside fo 4 mintues.

Crabtree brings in the fade route and we go deep on 3rd adn 1 despite already being in FG range inside of 3 minutes and hit SHeldon to set up a 1st on their 3 yards line and we ge tthe TD but no 2 pointer so MIA takes over down 5 at the 2 minute warning. Kemp converts a 3rd adn 10 for them and goes over 150 on the day but MIA eats a big sack on the enxt series and throws a desperate INT for a pick 6 to seal our victory.

GG bbriders, kinda weird one.

Both teams were over 50% on 3rd despite oru struggles in pwoer situations and your 14 penalties. We ended up winnign pretty handily yards per play both on the ground and air and just had the one TO so I guess that ends up a a W for us though I have to say it doesn't feel very convincing. Might be the first time in a logn tiem that the opposign team ahd more first downs on teh groudn than us. Sorry about RB HOlmes but I guess eh shoudl get plenty of rest now.

Everyoen else must have won also as we still have jsut a 10% chance to make the playoffs. Oh well, will keep swinging away.

GG Atlanta.
Our defense made the big plays and our ground game carried the workload on offense. While we didn't look very impressive in the win, and Womble continues to struggle to find his receivers, we have now won 2 in a row and sit tied atop the division with a 6-8 record.

It looks like the NC North will be a repeat of last year with an 8-8 team taking the division (or worse). While it would be nice to go to the playoffs to get some fan support, it's hard to imagine us doing much when we got there.

GG Hunter,

This was a classic Oma/Dur rivalry game, one of the best ending I've seen.

If you are bored and at home, I recommend watching it.

Good game man.

I was prepared for a loss this week against Tennessee so I could shut the season down and finish out with our back up QB gaining some XP.

Instead, we decided to whoop Tennessee, real good. With a San Antonio loss, that moves us into a wild card slot. Two games left and we're in the driver's seat. Pretty psyched about that. We started strong, but had a rough mid season. If we can finish it out strong, we're in . . . with a potential shot at winning the Division title, too!

GG, Aamalin - we came out smoking, then held the fort down effectively for the rest of the game. When we get up on somebody, our secondary is pretty good at locking them down. It's when we play from behind that we have trouble. Would love to see you guys first round of the playoffs, have some payback to exact for our early exit last season.

GG Flex, too saddened by the loss to start a writeup right away... Looks like my gameplan was on the right path given the injuries to your secondary, but the refs really hated me in the first half and losing my C and FS Anthony for the game wasn't any help.

Mitchem still got game mvp in a loss, that's how you know the refs got involved!

GG Marven

I still can't figure out why we would take our foot off the gas in the 4th quarter. Our best friend was the clock for sure, if you got another possession I have no doubt in saying we weren't going to stop you.

We wanted to get our TE running routes behind the 4 lb's with crossers, outs etc. and take advantage of that soft spot between safeties and lbs. Fortunately we did that and had a lot of yac success on top of it.

I hate running spy on qb's but its almost a must in some formations going against you guys. QB Marischen is just so efficient with his legs. You can call a perfect pass defense and he just squirts out for 9 yards when all his options are covered. I was happy to see he only had 6 rush attempts.

Its a good feeling to beat anyone in your division twice, let alone the best team in your division. Good luck the rest of the season, sort of...

Not gonna lie... That sucked. We are so out of sync in all three phases right now I'd like to fire someone now.... Do I have to wait until the end of the year? I mean, where do you start? The PRIDE came out and did pretty much whatever they wanted against us.... Hope we sneek into the playoffs now... GRRRR

Okay, slap the n00b hat on me. How do you watch the game after the fact. I have logs, or box score.

Solevision, under the Gaemday/Reports section, its a lotta fun, recommend Fast speed to be able to follow it. This is what I use btw to write my summaries.

That would be a key indicator. The other one is Red Zone conversion rate. Nothing like seeing 5 visits to the Red Zone end up in 5 field goals.

Ditto, I use fast and hover over the pause button in case of a long-winded play.

GG Ush

Was kind of a weird game. We won time of possession even by just over 10 min. But we couldn't pull off a win with the penalties and giving up big plays.

I probably shouldn't have traded Foley away. He's one of those guys that just plays well.

I swear whenever you trade away a guy they comeback and have great games against their former team.

Agreed on that, I dread facing those guys I knew were godo but felt like I couldn't afford or was getting a good return for.

Think 2 years from now you will be happy with the trade considering it will likely be a mid-2nd for a aging non-stud S.

GG Kosar

Rusty wasn't rusty at all - in a gameplan that was more shenanagan then Shanahan!

With 1st string WR Van Pelt leaving the game in the 1Q, 4th string WR Rusty Lindsay came in and played a important game with 6 out 6 catches for 110 yards.

My backup punt returner fumbled 2 out of 3 returns.

Cle TE Colin Lane just kept on producing yardage for CLE with 111 yards, with 57 YAC. TE Lane is bound to reclaim his All-league first team TE award.

Next up - the Toros.
