Another studly QB to F with this week, on the road at Alaska, this time with great skill position players as a complement instead of an OL.

ALA dinked and dunked there way to 4 3rd down conversions anda TD to open things off while we took off quick but punted from orange zone. We got a stop and managed to move it a bit and grab 3 points in a game that was moving quickly. ALA TE Blaine broke off a 60+ yard TD on the next series to put us down 14-3. Another orange zone punt from us after rattling off running gains and we got the strip sack to set us up at the ALA 7 but again settled for 3 points. With neither team able to move it in the 2 minute drill we were in the same boat as last week settling for FGs against studly QBs and wasting valuable production with orange zone punts.

We got things going to start the 3rd and after a missed XP were down 2 but offered little resistance as ALA went back up 9. More gashing by our O and a failed 3rd and 1 at the ALA1 led to another 3 points. A ALA scramble got them across midfield but we managed to hold them toa FG but time was now an issue with less than 12 minutes left.

We scored a TD quickly relying on our TEs and were down 2 once more needing a stop. But on 3rd and 6 TE Blaine grabbed another huge gain and shortly thereafter ALA regained their 9 point lead before a Terhorst INT sealed it.

Our O played pretty well on an efficiency basis but could have used 1 big play and obviously the RZ and orange zone troubles came back to bite us again. Our D did not have a good game to say the least, particularly in the 2nd half where ALA went TD, FG, TD, ran out clock. Marischen finished with nearly 10 ypa and an 80% completion percentage, adding 91 yards on the ground. Overall ALA scored 31 points on 8 non-garbage time possessions.

Our squad looks like our team always does, very solid but a divisional round loser.

We squeak out our first win of the season but lose two of our better players to injury. Dems Da Breaks! This is a team that's going to take a while to build, too many holes to count, not enough mentors to lead, and no real answer at quarterback. But, we won! GG Tulsa!

GG Hartford.....Wasn't a banner day for either defense. The blocked punt was a big play......Good luck the rest of the way..

We have some things to figure out in Militia land......

Our defense can't get critical stops this year. We have played a lot of close games the last two years, but we won most of them. This year, we have lost 2 out of 3..... There's no panic in Tennessee yet, but a loss this week and we may lose some attendance for the rest of the year....

GG Boise. You ended up moving the ball better than we expected. Those injuries are tough ones.
