GG Ushikawa. I guess you decided to keep your back-up in one more week and it was the undoing of your team with his 5 Ints. Our offense didn't do a lot and settled for 5 FGs. Just happy to escape with a win vs. a very good squad.

Hosting megasquad Texas and we decided to play the backup QB and a couple young OL dudes as we want to be healthy as possible for the the playoffs and didn't have to time to customize the GP this week.

A pick-6 got us out to an early lead and then TEX got into our end only to fumble it away. We threw a pick (but at least it was a deep ball) and YAC plays evened things up for TEX. A fumbled PR (our historical fault) set TEX up inside our 10 but we managed to hold them to a FG. After flipping the field and getting a 3 and out we took advantage of the field position battle to tie things up. Another 2 INTs from backup QB FItchie INT in our end led to 2 more FGs for TEX and we were lucky to be within 6 at the half.

In the 3rd we had another pin em, followed by a 3-and-out and nice PR to set up us nicely but we could only get to within 3. Another great stop and PR again had us taking over within FG range but a 4th INT by Fitchie led to no points and TEX string together some plays to go back up 6.

We borught it back down to 3 midway through teh 4th, but TEX bounced back getting it back up to 6 with jsut over 2 minutes left and a 5th INT by Fitchie sealed it.

Well we have to feel good about the fact that if Terhorst had played we almost certainly could have won the game as Fitchie went 7/30 and 43 yards with 5 INTs. Our D was really good getting plenty of stops and really we were just one Ferguson broken reception from winning regardless. Combined both teams went 0/7 in the RZ so I am not so sure many parts of this gamescript as it easily could have been a blowout either way. As a wise man said once, "both teams played hard" and hopefully we can meet up in Texas on a bigger stage later.

GG Las Vegas

We keep our playoff hopes alive after a tough win against a good team. Our defense once again stole the show, only allowing 178 total yards. Our offense was much more successful moving the ball with 358 total yards, but had drives constantly stall out just out of field goal range, and could not convert in the redzone. Allowing a kickoff return for a touchdown almost caused us to lose a game where we were the better team. Waiver wire QB J.C. Sikma had his best game of the season so far, he got his first touchdown of the season and did not throw any interceptions.

We are one game behind in the wildcard standings and have a tough schedule to close out the remainder of the season. Three of our four remaining games are against teams with a winning record. Making the playoffs is going to be a tall order playing with a QB we had to pick up off of the waiver wire. Our defense will have to keep carrying us. No matter what happens, this has still been a big turnaround from our 3-13 season last year

You know how in boxing they say styles make fights?
Well....St. Louis has our number.....
Or as Pedro Martinez once said about the Yankees.....
St. Louis is our daddy....

Good lord....Our coaches were so disgusted that they pulled our 2 time CFL Champion starting QB to start the second half...and put in Chris "Clipboard" Hastings....

We got smacked.

GG St Louis...... Hope to not see you again soon.

My Quick CFL Bowl Prediction - St Louis 31 Texas 30
If it happens, you heard it here first.......
