GG Red Zone,

You dominated for the 1st 3 quarters but then the coaches replaced my starting qb and he gave the offense the spark they needing.

After getting the onside kick, look at the ending.

What an ending;

1-10-OMA47 (4Q: 00:07) Chris Boykin pass completed to WR Dixon Powell for 53 yards and a TOUCHDOWN! Powell gained 11 yards after the catch. The quarterback threw away from the double coverage. Omaha 21, Kansas City 20

Hail Mary for the Win

Hosting Boise City on a rainy day, we gameplanned this one so whatever success and failure is on us. They have a terrifying run D and with a new QB in the wings, another multipick game from Terhorst might mean he is done.

A penalty derailed our first drive but we got the 3andO and the O didn't need a 3rd down to score a TD. We got a pick but had to boot it through the endzone missing a nice opportunity. We stopped them and recovered a fumble on a QB scramble going up 13 2 plays later. BOI crossed midfield with a big YAC gain but had to punt anyways and our rookie RB coughed it up early in the 2nd Q but BOI remained toothless on O and missed the FG.

We had another no 3rd down drive and went up 20, 3 straight punts before we broke a 40 yard run on3rd and short and capped it off with another TD to go up 27, BOI still couldn't moveit and we went into the half extremely comfy.

Not much happened in the 2nd half other than 3andOs from BOI and clock killing drives ending in the orange zone from us.

BOiI could only muster 7 firsts in the game and had 4 TOs while we went over 200 on the ground and were as effective as we can be. A 4/1 RZ performance made it especially ugly. Terhorst will keep his job for now and we didn't have any new injuries. 4-0 but haven't beat any real contenders thus far.

Complete dismantling. I gave the running game one more chance to try to be the focal point of the offense and they failed miserably. I’m going to have to completely rework the offense. Not that I have any faith in the passing game either with all the interceptions and strip sacks we have. Maybe one day I’ll figure this game out

GG Boston....

We played a complete game and shut down Boston's running attack. Unfortunately we kicked a crap load of FG's instead of getting TD's....leaving the door open the whole game......got to work on that.

Our rookies are playing like rookies.....I have to remember that they will get better......

That was a wild ending...12 points in 24 seconds

GG Atlanta

Complete Dismantling. Couldn't have said it better myself Atlanta. Complete domination in all 3 aspects of the game. 37-0 at the half. QB Cooper Allen played 4 plays in the 2nd half and then my coaches pulled him. Atlanta only scored because my backup QB threw an INT in our territory and set up an easy TD.

Overall a perfect game but of course we had an injury in garbage time, luckily it wasn't a star player or for very long, 3 weeks. Still, no one likes injuries but we'll consider this a lucky one.

Up Next is a 2-2 Texas squad who already has as many losses as last season. I expect a high scoring game, probably 50 points scored in total. Texas has definitely under performed so far, winning against teams that are a combined 1-6 record, Death Valley and Atlantic City. While losing against Alaska and Los Angeles, both of those teams are suspect as well. I don't see any reason why we would lose against Texas, however you never know what can happen.

Our 5 game gauntlet of good teams is nearly over, and we look to go 5-0 on the season. Looking ahead, we have two "easy" teams with Santa Cruz and Death Valley a combined 1-6 record so far. We could very well be 7-0. Los Angeles wraps up our first half of the season and then we have our bye Week 9.
