Hosting STL and Quinn Shore hoping ot get our O back on track and ot feast on a beat up OL perhaps.

STL converted some 3rds and then got in a rhythm breaking off a YAC play to get 7. After trading punts Fulton went to work with some nice air gains mixed in but we couldn't get it in from 1st and goal at their 4 and just got a FG.

Tyree had a 48 yard gain on a 3rd and long and STL got another TD shortly thereafter. Nail converted soem 3rds for us but back to back penalties led to a 2nd and 30 anda punt into the endzone. More precision work from Shore and they went up 14 with jsut over a minute left in the half but we added a 54 yarder before the half.

4 consecutive punts had us on top of a field position battle and we hit a deep ball to Johnson but could only come away with 3 after getting stuffed on 3rd and short yet again for an 8 point deficit. Our D forced a 3andO and a 60 yard PR set us up in the RZ and again we got just 3 to end the 3nd down 5.

5 more punts had the clock down to nearly 3 minutes and us needing to move the ball, a personal foul led to a 4th and 15 at hte 2 minute warning and that was pretty much ballgame.

Our O suffered throughout hte game but the 4 FGs really hurt us with 0/3 in the RZ and while our D was airtight in the 2nd half STL mowed us down early with 6 YAC per catch overall to less than 1 for us. We had 9 penalties for 75 yards which is unusual, and we didn't recover either of the fumbles we forced. Both the secondary and pass rush affected our passing game and our left side rush attack was feeble.

We have really put ourselves in a predictament now, even with Oregon for the 2 seed but we have the tiebreak. However a loss at El Paso next week would likely drop us to a WC as Tulsa has been coming on strong and in just 1 game back with the tiebreak over us.

The slide continues with rookie QB Sinclair at the helm.

I thought our season ended when QB Walsh broke his foot in Week 13, but if we qualify for the post season, or worse yet win a wildcard game, we could definitely spoil someone's great season.

GG Shreveport - I would recommend watching on Solevision

A crazy finish to one of our most exciting games of the year. Honolulu/Shreveport could barely be stopped on Offense near the end and traded touchdowns twice. Somehow Shreveport converted a 4th and 15 and scored 22yd TD to tie it 28-28 deep in the 4th. Honolulu put together an excellent game-winning drive and kicked the field goal with time expiring.

With the win and Fargo loss, Honolulu clinches the #1 seed in the Conference with one week left. We will rest as many important players as possible against LV, so we should finish 13-3. Cooper Allen and Co. will be well rested for 2 weeks till our 1st home playoff game.

This has been the best season in Honolulu since the early glory days with Ronnie Tu, when we won back to back championships and going 13-3.

Good luck to the remaining teams, we'll play our next meaningful game in 12 days.

You might want to be careful resting too many players. Conceding next week's game potentially puts Vegas one Wild Card win away from playing you in the second round of the playoffs.

Cooper Allen & Co. didn't fair so well against Mel Walsh Inc. the last time out. IIRC, Walsh looked like the QB deserving the $30m paycheck and Allen more befitting Walsh's $4.1m yearly stipend.

I appreciate the advice, but we ran the same gameplan on Offense and Defense nearly all season. So I'm sure you put together a nice gameplan for that game. Needless to say, we won't be playing the same gameplan against LV if we meet in the playoffs.

Also Vegas lost to New Orleans, I'm not scared.

As bad as NO may be, I don't expect a 7 rated rookie QB to beat his way out of a wet paper bag let alone beat a CFL team.

That's why conceding a win to a Sinclair-led Vegas team is not the best idea - if we make it to the playoffs, Walsh will be healthy and we will be back to the team we were before Week 13. That would be the team that made Honolulu look like New Orleans in Week 11 in case you forgot.

We're not a contender by any stretch, but definitely a scary team to have walk onto your home field to trust some dice rolls against in a one-and-done tournament.

Even without most of your starters you should be heavily favored against us with Sinclair, but if you rest too many guys, we can overcome our own QB and steal one. That's enough to punch our ticket into the season that counts.

Full Disclosure: I'll be putting in the "injure the QB" defense just in case you do start Allen.

BTW, I seriously hope you run the table this year. You have the talent to be undefeated and I've been picking Honolulu to win it all for too many consecutive years (and owners) now with nothing to show for it. That and the contract issues you will be facing in the next 2-3 years, now is the time if there ever was.

Good luck down the stretch and you best be repping the ROF.

No offense meant by the statement Vegas. And I didn't forget about the loss.

You're influencing me to play my starters now hahaha, but I'll probably take my chances with resting guys and just seeing what I get in the Divisional Round.

As far as contract issues in 2-3 years, you could be right, but no team can keep every player. We will have to lose some guys, starting this next offseason, but we still have plenty of cap space with players to spare if needed. I've done a nice job of not giving old players bloated deals. So I'm not worried, yet.

You've always been a respected Rival of mine and I always circle our games on the calendar because you can turn a bad team into a great one.

Thanks for the support and good luck to you as well.

Teutoberg
