I drafted Ralston started him at left guard, after week 5 I was playing with my Guard Ralston and tackle Isaia. Isaia was rated at 57, Ralston rookie was at a 35 with a 64 future, I check on switching positions of those two players, It boosted Isaia to a 62 and showed dropping Ralston to 29 now with a 63 future small drop so I made the switch. After the mid week it showed Isaia at what it said but tanked Ralston by 10, switched him back and didn't change his ratings back. Has not even played a game cause I'm on a bye. so WTF. Why did he not go back to where he was? I'm confused.

Did changing Ralston from G to T say they would retain only a certain % of their rating? If so that would be the issue.

96% and that is what it showed before the file went through.
which would have made him a future 62 which is what it showed me before I up loaded the midweek file. instead he came in at future 55

Changing players is not an exact science, I would recommend not doing it. You'll really never gain what you think and always lose more than you'd like.

I'd recommend playing the player out of position before switching him.

Remember FOF isn't Static with it's ratings, there's always a RNG messing with stuff and a scout interpreting everything.

It is my understanding that the percent applies roughly to the change in bar values, then the overall is calculated so bin this case his bars might be better suited for G.

Your best best is to keep him at guard and wait until next seasons Training camp, he may boom back up to his original ratings.

Don't forget, ratings don't translate into performance. Even with his position now changed, playing him at his original position should result in the same performance - he didn't suddenly forget how to play his original position because the depth chart was updated.

I would not change him back until TC next year unless you are forced to by positional requirements.
