How to setup a team for the first time
How to setup a team for the first time

League ID = 00856001

Go to the Controls-Participants Menu.

Image

1. Run the Enter New Career function. Make sure to enter the league name exactly as it appears = 00856001. Remind participants which team they need to select (this will be based on the default team names, not the names as they appear in your league).

Also we need the team id (you can find at the download page)

and then pick up the team that corresponds :

http://www.younglifenorthdekalb.com/ccf ... erlist.php

e.g i've got team id 31 so my team is based on houston if i'm not mistaken (checked and i'm not)

we also need all the ftp infos and then we're good to go.

You're 9. One way to do it is to look at the website for your team page and it will be in the URL (team=?)

Thanks for your help. I think I got it.

Holy ratballs! FOF7 took a giant dump all over my player ratings! Cowher dropped 13 points in potential. Here's hoping for a good camp.

Scouting is very different in FOF7.

Place the league's frfoot.fni, frfoot.fcy and frfoot.fcc files in the leagues/LEAGUEID directory of your Front Office Football Seven installation

Brain Pause... Where are these files found to begin with?

I just tried the FTP info and got the message "Import Succeeded. But no saved game was downloaded from the server. Please check with your commissioner."

Is it just me or has anyone else tried it?

Also, when you're all set up, you can delete the following files from the folder (actually you can also not extract them) :

00856001.XXF
00856001.XXP
00856001.XXQ

Where XX is NOT your team number, like that you don't get multiple teams from the same league to choose from when opening a multiplayer game.

I can see I am going to have problems with this, and I am not going to have time to even start on it until late sunday.

I haven't ran the End season stage yet. I'll do that when everyone has updated.

Okay, I may be missing something, I found the fni, fcy, and fcc files , but leahues/leagueid is eluding me. I thought it would be in program files x86,solescmic,fof7, but not finding it? Can anyone steer me in the right direction please?

Yeah, that was not right for me in Win7.

C:\Users\LOGIN\AppData\Roaming\Solecismic Software\Front Office Football Seven\leagues\00856001

I had to create the 00856001 folder in the leagues folder.

LOGIN is your Windows user name.

Just go ahead and put everything in that Zip file into the 00856001 folder you create.

Neither are right for me until I load my game, then both appear to be right.

Unlike the last conversion that wiped out my entire LB corps, arguably one of the best 3 in the league at the time, this conversion expedited the unmasking I was expecting with my rookie LB's.

Dean Iannucci is now 52/77 and Norman Burke is 42/61.

I was expecting Butch Barlow to creep as well based on his big plays in limited action last year but nothing yet.

I see us at the end of the last season in FOF7, does that mean I am up to date and ready?

Yes, that is the current up to date spot.

As for the LB, glad they all didn't retire, BUT retirements have not happened yet, so don't uncross those fingers just yet. Also on the ratings, scouting is a team effort now and no team has all 4 coaches that factor into the scouting yet, so take those with mega doses of salt. The current ratings on players should not be that far off, but the future ratings are capable of wild variance from coaching staff to coaching staff.
