Not cool. I had to sign a head coach and a scout.

Round 1, made an offer to last year's coach and scout. Got outbid. I didn't realize that in multiplayer you need to max offer. Round 2, I made max offers to 2 other guys. Got outbid. Round 3, made an offer to 2 more guys. Got outbid. Computer signed me a coach and a scout.

I needed an OC.
First round, I bid on the guy I want, no decision. Meanwhile my own OC got snapped up by Charlotte.

Round 2, I get outbid by the guy I want by Las Vegas.

Round 3, only New Orleans and I need an OC. Unfortunately for me, we choose the same guy and he decide to go to NO, even though I offered more money.
So the computer picks for me...I get the 2003 OC from Oregon, their championship team. So at least now I have someone who 's won a championship ring on my roster, maybe he can motivate the rest of the team to win one this time!!!

Woohoo! I actually outbid somebody?!

Up to that point my owner's limit was a million+ off what everyone else was currently bidding. I cut bait and went after the guys that made my list but weren't bid on yet. Now I'm glad I did.

It kind of sucks that it's a free for all with rehiring your old staff, especially if there was some success in the previous year(s). Maybe that's something being developed for future releases. It's kind of silly that some teams aren't even allowed to spend enough to get there own Head Coach back...

After the conclusion of training camp, right before the exhibition season starts.

This stage allows you to renegotiate with your players and try and work some cap magic before actually bidding on the FAs.

A very useful step in my book since I am currently over the cap but should easily fit under with just a few renegos...
