I noticed we are not using a TCY export for the draft file because there is no college stats shown. I could give you guys my Husker Dynasty exports, if you want...????

I think it would be a great idea if someone ran a game of TCY concurrently with our season.

We could follow the top college prospects as our own season goes on.

But from what I've read, there are problems with using TCY draft files in FOF2K4.

For the record, I have heard the same thing. I think it is more prone to error in multiplayer as well.

I was under the impression that Jim had fixed all the problems. Initially there were way too many talented players in the draft, but I think it's ok now. Is it not?

I think TCY generated drafts have less talented players in them- but after our few drafts, they couldn't be much weaker. I would have to vote against going with something different- if we had started with it maybe but changing now would worry me...

Same here.

But if switching to a TCY draft would get us even a single studly WR draftee, then I'd be all for it! ;)

Michael Browning is quite studly, IMHO :D

I'm in the, "let's not change things now" camp. And I don't mean for the season, but for the league..

Not only do TCY draft files (from what I've heard) have problems from time to time .. i think more so over several years (there is a reason that no MP league that I know of uses them), but you're asking for trouble when you're mixing non-TCY classes with TCY classes...

there was a problem with 3rd and 4th string players in TCY becoming the best prospects in the draft. that is supposedly fixed to some degree, but there are still problems. I think the TEs still all have 0's on big play receiving though. and if you used a TCY file, you'd have to make sure the years matched up correctly, or the players would all retire prematurely, since its based on age and not experience.

This is the only problem I've experienced.... Other than that, it ran pretty good drafts in my TCY/FOF2k4 universe... I just really like the college stats it produces, oh well it's just a suggestion.

No one is faulting you for the suggestion, JJ. I think everyone justs wants to stick with what we have.

Yup...

If we were beginning our first season, my reaction would have been very different... I would enjoy an MP league with TCY files (if they have indeed improved).

as far as I know, the Imperial league is the only one that uses TCY draft files, now that the USFL has stopped using them.

If it worked, I would approve.
