The draft has been going very well. So far, there have only been a handful of problems, all easily solved.
For the remainder of the draft, I am instituting the following rules, which I believe is the most fair method of continuing the draft that stays consistent with the league constitution:
Each team is allowed [b7353165]two hours[/b7353165] only to make a pick. The deadline is posted on the draft table at the top of the General Discussion forum and is updated as picks are made.
All team owners who will not be available when their team is on the clock should use the preference list in the draft utility and be sure to both [b7353165]save[/b7353165] your list, as well as select [b7353165]"On"[/b7353165] or [b7353165]"Once"[/b7353165].
The utility does not "skip" picks if not made within two hours, and teams will not "slide." Instead, the teams just stays on the clock until a pick is made. This is a problem because the league Constitution allows only two hours for picks. Also, some owners have failed to turn on their autopick list in the utility. This unecessarily drags out the draft.
So, if your autopick [b7353165]is not on[/b7353165] and [b7353165]the two hour time limit expires[/b7353165], myself or GE [b7353165]will do one of the following[/b7353165]:
[b7353165]1.[/b7353165] If you have a preference list that you forgot to turn on, we will turn it on. It will remain on until you turn it off or to "once".

[b7353165]2.[/b7353165] If you have no preference list, we will select the highest rated non-P/K based on Grade ([u7353165]not[/u7353165] adjusted graded).
I am sure some of you will think this is a great idea, and some of you will think it is unfair. Unfortunately, I can't make everyone happy and I think this is the best way to deal with it right now.
I know this system is not perfect. We need to change the Constitution based on the new utility, which is very different (and I think better) than our last one. But that time is not now.
In any case, these rules will only negatively impact those who don't set a preference list or those who forget to turn it on. If you don't want to get screwed, use the preference list and turn it on.

Thanks, everyone, for being active and making this one of the best FOF MP leagues in existence. The fact that we have so little turnover in ownership compared to other leagues says volumes about the quality of this league, and its membership.
