In a shocking development today DT Harrison Finley was cut along with ILB Ira Friel and OLB Omar Brewer. Finley was acquired by the Hitmen two years ago in a trade with Tuscon. After coming to Chicago he had almost no impact along the D-Line. In fact, Finley missed significant amounts of playing time with impaired vision (rumored to have drank too much after practice)over the last two seasons. Chicago's frustration with Finley led to Chicago drafting Matthew D'Ottavio two seasons ago with the 10th overall pick. D'Ottavio's strong play combined with Finley unreliability led to Finley's sudden release today. These releases along with a number of resignings should put Chicago strongly in the black for the upcoming free agency signing period.
