This has been a huge year for individual performances among wide receivers.

4 seperate WRs have already broken the single season TD reception record of 12 set last year by the following trio: Matt Brunner of Oregon, Marvin Athney of Santa Cruz and James Doney of Fargo.

The recievers who have already passed this record are Kelley McCaleb of Anchorage with 17, Cleveland Coon of New Orleans with 14, Matt Brunner of Oregon with 13 and Abe Muncy of Boise with 13.

Similarly McCaleb and Brunner have already broken the single season receiving yardage record of 1693 set last year by Ronald Tibbets of New Orleans. Brunner already has 1836 and McCaleb has 1796. Cole Faison of Seattle also could surpass Tibbets with a big game this week as he has 1605 yards heading into the final week.

[quoteb07858f="Fonzie"]I suspect Milan Hogan might be able to break his single-season QB rating record of 84.9. He also has an outside chance of breaking his TD record of 22.[/quoteb07858f]

Hogan currently sits at a QB rating of 88.3 and 20 TDs. I'm probably going to bench him/set him at PT of 1 in this week's meaningless game to save him for the playoffs. Thus, he'll probably best the QB rating record but not the TD record.

[quoteb07858f]If WR Carl Markey is as good as advertised he ought to be able to break the single-season receiving record of 939 yards (also set by him 3 seasons ago).[/quoteb07858f]

Markey already has 1005 yards and has bettered his previous club mark.

[quoteb07858f]I'm hoping that CB Biggs or one of my safeties can break our single-season INT record of 4. I won't hold my breath though.[/quoteb07858f]

Well, the record was broken, but not by any of the folks I thought capable of doing it. CB Jeremy Rosenberry has 5 picks.

[quoteb07858f]DE Isaiah Melo also might break the single-season record of 11 sacks, which he set last year for us.[/quoteb07858f]

Not gonna happen. Melo sits at 8.5 sacks, which is tied for the team lead with rookie sensation Lance Crane. Melo is likely to sit this week, but Crane may get his first start.

Speaking of huge individual performances by wide receivers, Kelley McCaleb of Anchorage set an all-time FOF MP single game record in week 7 when he had 293 receiving yards. The previous record was 284 set by Jack Potter in the IHOF. SFOFMPHoF

So much for [ieb27927]that[/ieb27927] idea. I turned Hogan's PT down to 1, but the game still left him in for a much longer time than I anticipated. Playing behind a ramshackle O-line stuffed with rookies and stuck with shitty backup receivers, Hogan went a disastrous 8/20 with 3 picks. That was enough to knock his QB Rating down to 84.6. :(

He was also sacked and fumbled away the ball, resulting in 4 turnovers [ieb27927]all by himself[/ieb27927]. If I'd known the game would leave him in that long with a PT of 1 I would've just benched the poor bastard.

In my experience a 1 usually means they play the whole first half.. was he in longer than that?

No, it looks like you're right - he played the entire first half. I'd never tried doing this before, so I was assuming he'd be pulled after just 2 or 3 series. Guess I should've asked around. :(

[b92da0df]Mathias [/b92da0df]broke most of his own passing records set last season.

pass TD: 27 (old record 25)
pass completed: 315 (old 277)
pass yds: 3537 (old 3418)

[b92da0df]Boyd [/b92da0df]also put his mark on the team in his first season with the Vampires, as he broke a lot of Wadsworth's old records.

rush attempts: 376 (old 272)
rush yds: 1362 (old 1105)
single game rush yds: 170 (old 135)

[b92da0df]Manos [/b92da0df]had a usual stellar performance, and managed to beat his old records too.
receptions: 87 (old 81)
receiving yds: 1107 (old 963)

On the O-line, little known C [b92da0df]Herman Tarver [/b92da0df]shattered the team record for KRBs
KRBs: 42 (old 34)
single game KRB: 8 (old 6)

The defense had a pretty average season by Vampire standards, and no new records were broken.

[quote433e45b="Taco"]RB Stephen Metz may break several team rushing records:
Rushing attempts - needs 16 for the record
Rushing yards - needs 49 for the record
[/quote433e45b]

Metz's stats in week 17: 16 attempts for 49 yards, breaking both records by 1 attempt and 1 yard.

Surprisingly my backup RB, Augustus Severance broke the Bulldogs' team record for yards/carry with 4.08. He finished the year with 119 carries for 486 yards. Metz only averaged 3.74 yards/carry.
