Because I now have just one computer and am in other leagues that use FOF version 6.3, I'll need to upgrade to 6.3. Masked has volunteered to sim the rest of the season for our league on a second computer of his that still runs 6.2. So, as of Friday's sim Masked will be taking over until the CFL Bowl is complete. Thanks Masked!

Oh, and I was able to retrieve the fpn file from my old machine's HD (which miraculously didn't get fried in yesterday's fireworks display). So, those who didn't get an export in will still have their last gameplan/depth chart submission in place.

WELL, first of all gg fff.

Second of all, it looks like I won't be having a silent offseason.

Third of all, I am going to need to start researching gameplanning.

Lastly, 7 run (3 at the end of half) and 21 pass in the first half? That needs to be different next game.

Hartford clinches another Yankee division title with the win over Brooklyn. The defense held Brooklyn to about 3.3 yards per pass attempt.

That would be good against the run but 3.3 yards per pass attempt?!

Thanks.

Yup, I'd say that went pretty well. :D

Arizona hosts Tucson.... in a game that featured very few penalties, no fumbles, no ints, and no t.d.'s for the Outlaws. Cleanest game I've ever seen.

Wanted to get a good long look at the run game and hopefully see if Ramirez could develop into a decent running back. 180 yards rushing ain't too bad and I'm wondering if his bars are pretty masked for a young player. I'm not sold on his being the first option at running back for next season, but he certainly will continue to be an Outlaw. Offensive line opened up some pretty good holes, and the Front Page people like their contribution to the run game as well.

Defensively we couldn't stop Tucson. Slowed them down the first half, but we just don't have the secondary and the right defensive scheme. Our linebackers are thin, sub par, and . . . lacking. Our db's are thin, sub par...and lacking as well.
The d line was hit by injury prior to the game, but that's not an excuse. Just a byline I think.

Garner looked alright, even though he didn't throw a pass until the second half. I'm hoping another training camp will add more formations and I'm gonna wait until we're all patched up before I decide on an offensive scheme to fit the Outlaws. Right now, I'm just developing players and watching who to keep and who to let go. Playing to win.. but realistically I don't think we'll win until ... next week when Baltimore is up.

GG Fonzie. I've got a long way to go...

For the secret to limiting Tucson in the second half, send a self-addressed stamped envelope and a $19.99 processing fee to:

TurfToe

(yep, just TurfToe, the mailman knows how to find me)

While it won't guarantee a victory, it will help your ego by keeping Goodwin's passer rating to double digits.

The guaranteed victory part is still in the works as I haven't figured out how to fix the Goodwin glitch in FOF...and if I do figure it out the price will be far greater than $19.99. It will be at least $1 more than what Fonzie offers me to keep quiet.

Wow, that boxscore has Drew 'Downhill' Holliday listed. That's close to being a relic. Don't you have any references that are a little newer? lol

Unfortunately no more recent examples - [player]Reggie Schultz[/player] and [player]Bernie Shepherd[/player] aren't equal to Alan Spearman.

Dear Failblog...

Dude, you linked the log file and not the boxscore. lol

I'll peruse the boxscore but you're nuts if you think I'm FOF-geek enough to read your log file.

Failblog responds that if you read the log file you'd see Schultz and Shepherd failed to pick up a first down late in the fourth quarter that would have sealed a Hartford victory.

Come on, we all know the secret to stopping Goodwin is [ib72b3df]not [/ib72b3df]to stop him, but to outscore him instead.

See this boxscore

(and is that recent enough for you, TT? )

I'd respond to the Failblog intern that the same reading required of the log file could/should have been applied to my post and done so much more easily. I'll read a boxscore but not a freaking log file. And I definitely wouldn't have picked up on those details without a little direction.

Copy and paste, meet Masked. Masked, meet copy and paste. Now that you are acquaintances, everyone's forum life should be much simpler.

Back on topic: Even if they converted, FOF would have figured out a way for the Chosen One to triumph, whether it be a 90-yard pick-6, a kick return, or some other unbelievable-yet-predictable turn of events for Kent "Jim Jr." Goodwin's Toro's (dear Guiness, did I set the record for amount of punctuation in a single sentence?). You can limit Goodwin and get killed on the ground or by the defense. Or you can score on the defense but have Goodwin throw 5 TD's. The glitch simply needs to be fixed. Call in Office Space's Bob's to fix the glitch please.
