gg Marven
Turnovers were the story in that game. 4 picks and 2 fumbles lost is hard to overcome. Even with 2 gifted back a -4 turnover margin is brutal. I am excited to see the patch on its way and I hope there is enough gameplanning shuffle to make it interesting again. I still don't know why I would come out throwing on three straight plays to start the game and was hoping for more rushing attempts, especially with the way Bridges was running. It's curious how he had less carries than the backup when he was at 70% on the depth chart (which I use because of his 54 endurance). In retrospect, I wish I had cranked up the running game even more as Bridges numbers may have been very similar to Dunlap's given the same number of carries. That could have been a great story!
Lack of rushing attempts aside, it may not have been bad with Terrell in the lineup. He was listed as the starter at doubtful but I didn't realize that would keep him from getting into the game. It said he could maintain a decent level of play (decent from DT is better than awesome from the rookie Allen) with no risk of reinjury, so I put him in as the starter. I guess that doesn't mean he'll play. So the rookie Allen got 12 target's, 4 catches, and 4 drops. Yikes! When the pass line stats show more drops than any other single stat (i.e. defensed, bad throws, sacks, hurries, knockdown, int's) that's a bad thing. On the plus side, of those 4 catches, 2 of them were 20+ and his yards totalled 98 on those 4 catches. In time, he may be worth having fill in for DT.
Good luck with Tucson Marven and my prediction was right - the winner gets one game against Tucson and the loser gets two games against Tucson. We're already figuring out how to face those bastages in 2023.
Good luck to the rest of the franchises except for Tucson and those pussies from the Eastern Conference.
