At MIA to start off our season. Tough matchup for us with their top CBs, Miyagi on our RG and solid run D. Let this reboot of Fargo begin...

3andO for MIA as our run D shut them down on early downs. MIA came out in M2M coverage and went to a Press-1 on 3rd getting their own 3andO. MIA scraped out a 1st but went backwards on the next series so the punting battle continued. We got across midfield overcoming a penalty with WR Spradling grabbing 2 intermediate gains including the TD. MIA strung together a few gains of their own and advanced a fumble into our RZ, but the rookie Edge player Alexander got a 3rd down sack and they missed the FG.

Nothing doing for us and MIA gets a nice PR to be right back in FG range. We stck em up on 3rd and 3 and they recover another fumble this time hitting the FG. Woodard started hitting soem passes and TE Mardling had a nice little catch and run to bring us to their 12 and we went for the endzone 3 times giving up a strip sack on the 3rd try adn coming away with 0 points. We strip sacked them on the next play but MIA recovered (now 4/4 on the day). We forced the failed completion on 3rd but MIA pinned us at our 7. Another nice grab from Spradling and YAC gain from TE Mardling had us just outside the RZ, but we throw a pick in the endzone walkign away yet again wiht 0 points. Gerald Lodge ripped off a 40 yarder at 2 minutes but our rush slowed them down in the hurryup so we go into the half up 1. Wait a minute a 77 yard KR puts us at their 14 with 31 seconds left and Spradling gets us back up 8.

Both teams are runnign wild but while we are over 8 ypa MIA is at 1.33 of course the -2 TO margin is keeping things somewhat close.

We threw a tcouple targets at Crabtree and the second was picked. MIA converted a 3rd and 10 on the ground and got the lead back down to 1 quickly. We wor the left edge a bit and then hit Crabtree in stride and he breaks it 60 yards to have us back up 8. We get a nice stp on D overcoming some penalties and now it is Fulton's turn to break MIA aggressive D with a 60 yard TD of his own right up the gut. Penalties derailed boh O and MIA hit a 3rd and 19 conversion to end the 3rd Q.

After getting our stop Fulton puts MIA on ice lighting a candle with a 40 yard TD to essentially end things. And he even added a 12 play clock killer that lasted over 7 minutes getting up to 268 yards on the ground.

Good Game hbcook86,

Your Defense is all Ball hawks, 3 Int's. This felt like an old Durham/Omaha Rivalry game.

Can't wait to play you guys again.

Josh

GG, Aamalin. Everybody was on point for the Pride today except our kicker. Luckily we didn't need him to be that good this week.

We were planning a welcome reception for Alex Porto. However, it appears as though it may end up being a bon voyage party for veteran QB, Robbie Mackie.

Put the rookie in.

GG Atlanta. Not a pretty win for us but we'll take it. Womble will be taking some lumps this year.

GG San Antonio

We started off on fire, scoring three TD's in the 1st Quarter then cooled off. Our Defense seemed to keep the game in hand. 5 sacks and 3 force fumbles. Need to work on my Offensive game plan, should be better there.

GG Hon

We didn't deserve to win but special teams and defense made it happen.

Yeah, Mackie begged his way into this one.... Something about one more crack at the Pride. That didn’t go well...... The Rook has been called into the coaches office for a private conversation.... No official word on next weeks game, but Mackie was seen cleaning out his excess belongings from his locker.

I told you during the coaches draft that I wasn't here to play patty cake with you, lol. I just watched the whole thing and holy crap, I can't remember the last time I was involved in that great of a battle. All of our running backs were on fire this game and we were going back and forth on the scoreboard. Luckily for me my bend but don't break defense came through in the end at the very last minute. I know for a fact that when we roll into Omaha later this season that you guys will be out for blood. GG Josh
