We were cruising along until the 4th, where you guys gave us a big scare, scoring those quick TD's and making it 20-14. I thought I got jinxed by the Solecismic comeback engine but O'neil had ran out of game by then so we lucked out.

Will give this one the full treatment. Little chance we can hang with PHI if this becomes one of our 70 point games not that we've done well with those in the past particuarly either. We did our deep dive on O so far to retool our GP but wasn't a lot to cling to to be honest, though they may make us look good as we mostly try to just stay ahead of the chains and avoid TOs. Our LT is out so we are playing a newly signed G at that spot and not sure how that will work out. Gonna play pretty much all 2 high shells on D with a bit of blitzing and some Cover 3 Cloud on 3rd as I am just not confident enough in our ability to put up points to risk playing single high with pressure.

Fucking Mckenzie burns us for a 49 yard catch adn run (god can't wait for him to retire) to put PHI up 6 quick. 3 striaght runs get us to midfield but then we takea sack and are lucky to convert a tough 3rd to our own TE Boon, we grind out anoher 1st but then can't do anything in the air. (Maybe we should just go 90% run) and settle for 3 points. Almeida is getting through rushing and while Sullivan will doge it sometiems we get them off the field. Holzer coughs up a fumble and we lose it to set them up at our 35 and Johnstone breaks off a chunk to set up the pitch and catch TD for PHI. We go deep for Sigrest and throw an arm punt, Sullivan dances around our blitz on 3rd and Rodriguez burns us for 40yards and they battle their way to a 1st and goal at our 1. The TD gets called back ona hold then they take a monster sack and hit the long FG (man for a second there I thought we may escape with no blood drawn).

2 TOs in teh 1st quarter is not a good look.

We grind and scramble to midfield and then start mixing in soem short passes, no chunks but we get to the 20 before stalling out and cutting our deficit to 11. PHI gets pushed back on a hold but we gift the ma fresh set on our own hoding call on 3rd and long. Couple more YAC chunks for PHIs receivers and Sullivan scrambles in on 3rd and goal. We are beign efficient in teh 3 minute drill and get a super important TD to make it a 11 poitn game once more. Tatum rips off 41 yards on the ground running out the clock supposedly but thanks to FOF logic that takes 30 seonds off the clock.

We are gonna need soem TOs here in teh 2nd half to close this gap.

Yet again we are getting 10+ yard ont ehg roudn to get us to midfield but can't connect on our downfield shots and boot it into the endzone. PHI is mixing in nice 4-7 yard gains iwht the short passes to move the sticks across midfield and Rodriguez drops a 3rd and short pass but as is typical against PHI they are gonna go for it facing 4th and 2 in the orange zone and FS Bates beats the recevier to the ball. Wait, nope personal foul on our rookie DT Stone but we stave off defeat by picking Sullivan in teh endzone as he looks for Johnstone deep. PHIs rush is getting through nearly every down now but our TE Boon saves us wiht another tough 3rd down catch and run for 30 yards but their rush gets going again and we boot it away once more. PHI is still runnign well but they run out of gas in teh orange zone and we take over at our 10. Te boon can't break a tackle on hsi next 3rd and 10 target and we boom it away once more.

PHI is just killing us on the ground and of course McKenzie gets a YAC piece to get them inside our 10 once more and its another pitch adn catch from Sullivan to make it a 3 score game. We keep getting good plays called back on penalty and lose our C tfailing ot pick up a 3rd and 4 on the ground. We get a quick sopt and good field position after pinning them and our passing game wakes up in teh hurry up for a quick 6 and 2 pointer ot make it a 10 point game with just under 7 minutes left. We get our own stop on 3rd and medium on teh ground but they get off a booming 63 net yard punt. 3 striaght ocmpletions get us out to our 40 wiht 4 minutes left and Sherman looks sharp but we aren't getting any YAC and yet another covnerison si called back on penlaty and then the familiars start in and we are toast.

GG landshark, you guys are jsut a terrible matchup for us. We can't match yoru explosiveness and now that you can run the ball too maybe just sitting back in 2 high isn't the ticket either. We aren't built to win with 2 TOs and the penalties were a big issue.

Part of our retool this offseason was getting rid of a bunch of affinities and cohesion on our OL and it's really taking a toll on our ability to be consistent. Not sure why we aren't getting the explosive plays in teh passing game but something is defintiely off.

I’d argue we have “run the ball” pretty successfully the last few years.. Barker (out this season with arthritis) rushed for 1999yds last year…

You always seem so prepared for us… I decided to pick some random gp from a few years ago to try and throw you off.. I had no idea what to expect, (rodriguez 16 targets?) but you’re such a great game planner.. I wanted to try to switch things up, and catch you off guard..
