I've been slackign but POs get the Ushi treatment.

We'll be facing SCZ on a cold windy day. Despite this we are going to trust our newly efficient passing game now on the biggest stage and try to hit that left edge where SCZ have been susceptible. SCZ in general on D has nothing going on talentwise but we are gonna let Johnstone step into the limelight and throw it 40 times maybe. SCZ is savvy on O and may switch around their wideouts to avoid my doubles so we pulled them for the most part, and will be playing 2 high shells with some 8 man boxes mixed in there as well based on film analysis, will be playing some unsound D as well blitzing with 2 high so there will be gaps underneath but we didn't want to risk not having safeties on top of those WRs or just letting Darusmont pick us apart unmolested. The success of their run game may likely determine how well they do overall.

In our first matchup we won the TO battle by 3 and were as efficient as ever in the air I'm thinking if one of those can remain true we should walk away victorious.

Dinks and decent running get us to FG range but we can't overcome a hold and disaster strikes as target munching TE Moffitt goes down and we get 3 points. SCZ grinds us up on the ground and overcomes their holding call with a 30 yard screen game and we hold inside the 10 for a tie ballgame. We find that left end a couple times and then hit rising rookie WR Sasaki in stride for a 27 yard TD strike. WR Guthrie gets a couple intermediate gains for SCZ but they dry out in the orange zone and we get a nice PR from deep in our end for decent field position.

We dink a bit but can't break a tackle and get off a perfect punt pinning them at their 1. IT looks like Castillo has them out but a holding call sets them back and their are forced to drop back and then punt it away and we take over at their 40. Our run game is nothing but dust but we get 2 intermediate completions to set us up inside their 5 and find paydirt to go up 14. 3andO for SCZ as our D has found its groove. We get back to dinking and then try a deep shot against an 8 man box but SCZ rookie S Jenkins snaps it. SCZ hits back to back deep shots to TE Cancilla to get in the RZ and Darusmont finds teh endzone with some nice short passing but they miss the XP with a bad snap. After eating a sack in the hurry up we opt to run it out and that's halftime.

Looks abou tas expected we are doing great deensively against the pass other than those chunk plays but those chunks play have led to points for SCZ. If we can stay ahead of the sticks then TE Moffitts absence shouldn't be too bad but we really rely on him to get thos YAC chunks when facing long distances.

Darusmont rips us up going 7/7 at first barely moving the chains but then getting chunks as WR goes up to 129 yards on 11 targets. We grind a bit and Sasaki gets us another chunk with the vet Givens helping usot on 3rd and very long after a hold. WR Donaldson rips of a screen to the house but its called back on another hold and we end up booting it into the endzone. Darusmont gets back to his short passing and this time its WR Sanderson who burns us wfor 30 on YAC but then we settle down and take over at our 4. RB Shapiro rips off 25 on the ground, a sack and the a personal foul gives us 3rd and 35 and SCZ takes over near midfield.

They gash us on a draw to get to our 21 but we get a failed complete on 3rd and they give a FG to go up 2 with 11 minutes left. We move across midfield and supposed X prototyp Sigrest is havnig a terrible day with 0 catches on 5 targets while Sasaki can't run past the sticks on 3rd and 10 and we opt to punt facing 4th and 3 at tehir 38 which I am not sure how I feel about with 8 minutes left. We get the 3andO and possession man Spry make s rare move to take a short pss 30 to their 22 and we find deep man Ellison but he gets tackled at the 1 by S Jenkins. Adn we dive it in to go up 5 with 4:27 left. SCZ plays it safe and we tackle our way to a 3andO just outside of 3 minutes and will look to ice this thing on teh ground. NO dice we lose a yard running and a poor punt means SCZ takes over at tehir 45 with no TOs. 2 short passes move it for CZ but the clock goes under 100 seconds and we send a safety blitz that gets through and turns into a game sealing strip sack.
