I will be turning the commish role over to Doug. When/if Taco gets back they will work it out between them. I will still be helping out and of course keep my team. Good luck Doug!

I think it would be best to shut down the league until after the first, I'm sure there are going to be some people out of town and it will also give me plenty of time to get everything set up and going.

Since I am running 5.1b, and we were planning on switching to it after the season I say now is probably the best time to switch to that.

I will work on a schedule sometime in the next few days (going to be VERY busy with christmas) but once I get that I will post it and see what yall think!

Just a heads up- there is a lot about running a league and computer stuff I dont know how to do so please be patient with me as I learn through this:)

Thanks to GE for taking over the league during this time. Congrats to Doug for taking it over now!

I concur that it would be best to put the league on hold until after the New Year. I know people said they'd like to blow through Staff Hiring, Franchise Designations and Ticket Sales to get to FA so they could see the Draft Pool over the holidays, but as I'm now posting from a Holiday Inn in Duluth, MN, after attending my brother's wedding, and won't be back until the 27th, I'd prefer waiting, otherwise the AI will probably do my staff hiring for me, and I'll get no chance to franchise anyone.

That's just my personal needs, though. :)

Anyway, having said that, Doug makes some good points about why it might be good to wait. Let's start with a fresh slate in the New Year.

We wanted to move on earlier, but that was when we still had GE as commish. Now Doug needs a bit of time to learn the ropes. Also, we've fallen behind a bit on our original schedule and we just don't have time to move on before Xmas.

So, yes, it makes a lot of sense to wait now and pick things up after Jan 1.

Happy Hollidays to all!

I'll chime in with my thanks as well, to both GE and Doug.

And I agree with the others - it's too late now to blow through the early offseason stuff. Let's shut down until after the holidays.

Thanks to GE for handling the crisis and to Doug for stepping in to handle our next season.

Im available throughout holidays if you want to proceed. Would concur that waiting is probably best outcome. So maybe we take our break until after the 1st and post a check-in thread so we can get our head count of who is here and continuing with the offseason so we can get replacements if needed. Just my two pennies.

Happy holidays.

Thanks for keeping the season going, GE. And thanks to Dougie for stepping up and taking over the controls.

I have no problems with shutting down till the new year, though I'll probably be very bored until then... :)

Thanks for being considerate of those on vacation.. I am away from my PC with FOF and realistically cannot do much of anything until Jan. 3...

And thank you Doug for taking the reigns!
