wow, it can move fast at times. When I went to bed last night, aroung 11pm eastern, it was up to pick 114 we've moved 10 picks since then...

Make that 3 teams on the clock as of now, Sacramento have made their pick.

Is it me or shouldn't we be at the point where the choices aren't so tough?

2 hours between picks wouldn't be bad even if people had 'end of time' slected but some of us aren't even doing that as demonstrated by the four teams on the clock.

Maybe we should kick it up to a 1 hour time limit seeing as those who aren't picking aren't using the utility anyway. That way those who are using the utility can help get this thing wrapped up within the next week.

what is the frigging rush!!! They may have had family emergency, stuff to attend to, not had time to even turn on the computer for a couple of day, even less make picks for a game!!! Leaving it to 2 hours won't kill your fun, it at least gave me a chance to be only 3 picks late on my pick, not 5 or 6 or more...

Sorry to go on a rant, but this is what happened to me last night. A last minute event prevented me from even turning on FOF, and this morning the kid woke up with fever, guess what, I sit down it's 9am and I've gone from from my team being the pick in 10 picks to being 4 picks late... I'm fine with it, just don't make it tougher. Darn, it's a game, should be fun, not stressed out...

Sorry again.

Thats the thing I like about this utility is- especially late in the draft it really doesn't hurt a team if they miss their pick, it just keeps sliding until they can get to it. Now if someone slides 10 or so picks I will go in and pick for them, but just sliding a few is not bad. And the pace of this draft might seem slow, but compared to the previous seasons we are going very quickly and smoothly. We should be finished in just a few days...
Also, I will be gone all day (well i hope all day). Im playing in a big poker tournament so I wont have time to update anything until I get home. If Taco is around and he has time, he might be able to get some updated- if not I will get it as soon as I get home.

Thanks

I made picks for New York and Memphis since they had fallen 10 picks. Now there is only one team on the clock. I won't be around much today either, but if I do get a chance to check-in I'll make picks for any team that has slid 10 spots.

I'm happy with the way this draft is going. It's definitely much, much better than the previous two drafts. Thanks for getting us a utility, Doug!

I think what TurfToe was getting at is that most people are just filling holes right now, so they know what their list looks like. It should be relatively easy to put together a list when the application is within 10 picks of your pick.

Nobody thinks that the game is more important than real life. In the later rounds though, I think that the draft should speed up a little. I don't necessarily agree that we should drop the time down to 1 hr, but it would be nice for people to put together a short list in the application.

No pressure, just trying to persuade people to use the list feature.

What TurfToe was saying is that I know what it means to have a life. Right now, I don't have 3 weeks to spend on a draft. I was one of the ones who has never done this before and wanted as much time as possible to digest everything.

Well, after the first 3 picks, I realize that it doesn't take that much time to fill out your roster with what's left. I'm a newbie and have figured out how the rest of my picks should shake out since the differnce between the various players is getting smaller and smaller and a large list is easy to put together.

If you can't make it to your computer to make a pick, no sweat, this utility is great for that.

My point is that my kids don't want to see me checking the computer every night as I've been doing it for weeks...and because it's just a game it shouldn't occupy so much of my time. If you don't have a late round selection decided in 1 hour then 2 hours won't be any more beneficial, especially if you have something more important to attend to (and I hope we all have something more important than this game to deal with).

I apologize for the long response but I want to make sure everyone knows where I am coming from...

Um, both New Orleans and Memphis have been sliding 10 picks now...

My very brief $.02...

A 1 hour time limit is absurd..

If people have entered picks in their list, then 1 or 2 hours will not make a difference..

to expect a 1 hour limit is just absolutely undeniably absurd.. at that rate, you might as well do a live draft...

the 2 hour time limit seems to be working fine. It is fast enough to keep things moving but long enough to give everyone time to keep up.
