Well CC, if it is any consolation you at least managed to injure a few more of my defensive players. I find this to be quite frustrating, as I had specifically dropped the PT settings for most defensive players to avoid just that, but we lost another member of our starting secondary to injury and sustained minor injuries to two others. I suppose that was the risk I was taking in making sure that they didn't get rusty. At least we get a week off to heal. So we finish the year 15-1, which is our best-ever regular season record. I'm not quite sure how that happened, as I feel this team is a bit weaker than the last 2-3 years-worth of Toros squads (especially on defense), but I'm not gonna complain. [player]Kent Goodwin[/player] finished with pretty good numbers, but his league-leading 36 TD passes were the fewest he's thrown in a season since his first year as a starter. It appears that is because we had more success running the ball in the red zone than in years past, as we scored 22 rushing TDs this year. [player]Marcus Crane[/player] notched 14 of those, which was one shy of [player]Drew Holliday[/player]'s team record of 15 set in 2008. The only team records we set this year included Goodwin's career-best 66.6% completion percentage and SS [player]Tommy Burns[/player]'s 36 assists. Huzzah. |

The Privateers finished up our finest regular season with a win. List of team and individual best this year include: Team Single Season Record Best record: 13-3 Points scored: 25.9 Rushing Yds/game: 156.5 Rushing Yds allowed: 92.3 Total Yds: 381.1 Individual: All Time Single Season Records Completion %: Quentin Larrabee 73.4 Key Run Block Opportunities: Ethan Capoccia 131 All Purpose Yds: Tom Whalen 3,146 All of this and I already have a bad feeling about any of the teams we will play in the Conference Semi's. |

Wow. Hate getting whooped by Santa Antonita, but they whooped us good. Well played, Shooter. [player]Carl Bradford[/player] had a good game and [player]Joshua Mask[/player] had a great performance to end his career in Shreveport. If he comes back for 16th season, I doubt we will sign him (but there's always a chance). |

If you don't sign him, I will have to bid, just to taint his career. Also, if it's any consolation, I did not submit an export. I just figured to leave it and see what happens with the run left and run left again, then don't throw deep offense in effect. Actually, it was a pretty good defensive effort by [player]J.J. Houston[/player] with 1.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and a bit more pressure. I'm not sure how he did not get game honors. Oh well, maybe it was enough to sneak into the running for Def. MVP honors. When does the draft start? |

[quote5acc075="3ric"]Oh sure, after a four game losing streak and the season already over for us, NOW we're starting to play well.[/quote5acc075] GG 3ric, after halftime - I thought the game would get out of hand and sure enough it did.. We just couldn't get it going in the 2nd half.. Hopefully Chasser will get the MVP this season, I feel he earned it.. |

The Rounders asserted themselves as one of the better special teams units this year in all aspects. Unfortunately, that probably translates into a game or two we didn't deserve to win. We have a lot of work to do with this 6-10 team that went 8-8. The draft will be interesting based on whether Palmer returns to 95-100% of his former self, which wasn't exactly a championship self to begin with. We could be doing anything from starting from scratch with a new QB to simply filling offensive backfield and D-Line holes (caused by time and mileage). I'd comment on this week's game if there was anything to really talk about. I guess FS Wilkins' performance was more of the same outstanding play he has showcased all year. |

[quote68430a2="TLK"]ehhh... I don't expect a playoff run, but it's nice to get here. I have to shout my love for [player]Lane Manuel[/player]. With absolutely nobody at receiver (due to injury), he somehow found the open man and got us a win. Also, it was nice to see [player]Derrick Bottoms[/player] do something on special teams. He hasn't had a great year. gg dberner. See you next year.[/quote68430a2] with our b/u QB running the show we were happy to stay in it for the 1st half...then our RB went down and we were super crispy burnt toast. a sad season for the division...mine was killed by a few poorly timed injuries and some poor play in the middle of the year... |
