I think I agree with Doug. If we can't adjust the time limit we should do the first round on the forum and after that we should all set up lists and use the draft utility. Trying to do the whole thing on the forum will cause it to take forever. |

Ok I told a fib. I wanted to post this for you all to look at. We used the exact same utility and the draft took right at 2 weeks. [quote6f1cae7]Alright, it looks like were going to start the college draft on Thursday at 9am CST and it will run til midnight CST and then rinse and repeat. I have a couple of questions still outstanding with Dave but the structure seems to work just fine. As questions are answered Ill let you all know: Cookies need to be enabled on the computer you need to refresh, it isnt automatic Rounds 1-4 will have 3 hour windows Rounds 5-7 will have 1 hour windows All times are CENTRAL so adjust your brain accordingly (9am = 10am est; 12am = 1am est) we run from 9 - midnight daily The last pick of a night is squeezed b/w the pick before it and the midnight CST kill. So come the morning the next guy will be on the clock too. tough stuff but minimial IMO. [/quote6f1cae7] |

well, I'm not computer literate, and I don't know how to do anything with my cookies...so, I'm not even sure what that means |

I think the cookies enabled is pretty universal for most guys. SHouldnt require any effort. |

I just heard back from tredwel and this is what he said... [quote3bb3da0]you can change the time when the clock starts, stops, and how long a pick is on the clock to anything you want, just let me know.[/quote3bb3da0] so now we just need to decide on start / stop times- and the pick times. I say 4-6 hours for rounds 1 and 2, and 2 hours for the remainder? |

Any update on the start date? Methinks we really need to start this week, and asap. |

I think 8am-10pm EST makes sense.. So.. in the meantime.. today seemed like a good starting date.. the draft list is not even in the tool yet... why don't we start the draft via forum now until we get this settled... any objections? I think Doug can make that call, yes? |

8-12 EST or whatever is decided is an excellent idea. As long as the clock doesn't run continuously, any reasonable time frame should work. Let's get it started as soon as possible. FWIW, I've never drafted before so I have no basis for comparison but I think the forum should work fine to get the draft going and hopefully have the utility up and running before rounds 2 or 3... |

Can't we make a thread with everybody's sleeping time, and during that 8-hour period, your time "on the clock" isn't decreasing? I'm in bed from 5pm EST to 1am EST, for example. At least for me and FFF, anyway (not sure if there are other overseas owners) |

[quotebd79e9d="fantastic flying froggies"]When are we going to use the Warroom? It seems such a waste not to use it...[/quotebd79e9d] the warroom will start today at noon- and have a time limit and all that stuff. I just wanted to allow teams that were ready to go ahead and pick before the draft acctually started. |

[quote8dc5816="dberner30"]Warroom seems to be down. Cant get logged into it. Any thoughts or am I the only one having problems.[/quote8dc5816] It worked for me - but my city's name was misspelled, and caused me some initial confusion in trying to get the thing to work. You might check to see if something similar is going on with your team. |

I'm able to log in but when I try and save my preference list, I get a whole bunch of database errors... I really hope I can get it to work because I won't be online much tomorrow and will likely have little access throughout the week-end... |
