Open your multiplayer game, go to Controls - Participants - Import game files - to grab the new stage file. Well we get to see what all the fuss is about in Brooklyn. I like our chances to limit their passing game but they may grind us up a bit. While on O, we dialed back the running a good bit and trust that Mitchem won't throw the game away and I thin we will be able to complete short stuff but have doubts about ripping off chunks. Penalties lead to a 3rd and forever for BKN and we take over on their side of the field and 3 plays later we score. BKN battles for one conversion but we recover a strip sack on teh next one and grind our way to another TD but shank the XP. We can't stop them on teh ground as they run all the way to FG range to close out the 1st Q. We we get 3 straight quick tackles on dink passes and they opt for a FG facing a 4th and 1. We continue to be sharp on O and Crabtree converts a tough 3rd for us with Holzer getting us to their 10 but the 3rd down pass fails for our first incompletion on teh day and we go up 13. They keep hewing us up and Shannon breaks off a 46 yard TD to keep it a one score game. Mitchem is just red hot and goes up to 11/12 as we move into the RZ at the 2M mark but we fail once more facing &goal. Well we onl have 3 incompletes all with goal to go but are only up 9. BKN is at 0 yards per pass as we have racked up 3 sacks to counter their 6 dink completions. Whoevers run D shows up in the 2nd half should have a big advantage. We are still firing on all cylinders and Fence breaks one loose to set su up at their 3 but a sack sets us back and we get the faield completion on 3rd and go up 12. BKN mixes in soem intermediate gains with the running but a holding call negates a 3rd down conversion and we pick their next attempt. Mitchem gets up to 21/25 with all incompletes still being inside the 10 as we are moving it to close out the 3rd Q. We get an 11 yard gain on 3rd and 12 inside the RZ and hit the FG to go up 15 to close out a 10 minute possession which has to be a record. We still can't stop the ground game and FB Buckley rips off a chunk on 3rd and short to set up &goal for BKN but the scrambles won't cut it and they only get 3. We can't grind any clock but BKN doesn't take over until less than 3 minutes are left and unsurpprisingly their passing game doesn't get it done. Just a amrvelosu performance from our passing game and while they ran roughshod over uss all day penalties and 3rd down meant that running wasn't enough. If we had doen better in the RZ this coulda been a real blowout but obvisouly we will take it. ELP keeps winning so the winner next week will lead the division and conference. |

GG zen zog we keep finding these low scoring games...and losing them at the worst times... too many wasted opportunities this team is too inconsistent to do much in the playoffs and thats if we even make it that far GL the rest of the season |

Great game Ush, The Sodbusters had one punt and that was when they were killing the clock. The Brawlers also had one punt, but also a fumble, an interception and turned it over on downs...good ole' fashion butt-whooping. One goal of Brooklyn every year is to go undefeated at home. That went down the toilet this week. Mitchem had an outstanding game as he sliced and diced the Brooklyn D all game and controlled the clock. Here in Brooklyn we think we have been playing above our bars (out kicking our coverage), but if it's not broken don't fix it. Everybody knows how Brooklyn plays. Good luck this year, Dean |
