Open your multiplayer game, go to Controls - Participants - Import game files - to grab the new stage file. See if we can get DVY down and out once more...no big changes but did up the running a bit as they don't really have any plus run defenders in the middle. Also dialed back the doubles a bit as DVY has shown a propensity to move his WRs around in our matchups. DVY starts off boom and bust running with plenty of TFLs for our D but Donaldson converts 2 3rds in the passing game but a hold derails them before midfield. We get tackled short of the sticks on 3rd and 3. Shannon beats the double for a chunk on 3rd but we tighten up in the RZ and they get a FG. A hold leads to another 3rd down failed completion for us and DVY takes over near midfield on a poor punt. We get the tackle on 3rd and medium to end the 1st Q but have only run 6 plays on offense. Holzer gets us out of our end and we go deep twice drawing a DPI on the 2nd try with Fence adding the TD catch on the next snap. Donaldson heats up a bit and converts a key 3rd and short in the orange zone and Shelton breaks loose on a short pass to get DVY to paydirt. Another holding call brings back a nice run and we can't convert 3rd and long. Donaldson converts another 3rd and short for DVY but they can't buy a completion at our 40 and boot it away. We hit TE Stocz for 50 on what musta been a timing throw but Mitchem throws a pick looking for Fence in the endzone. DVY converts a couple winding the clock down to inside of a minute and get stopped at midfield. Weird game so far for us on O. take away he 50 yarder and our passing game looks toothless and we are 0/3 on 3rd while they are 7/12. Crabtree gets his first reception on a screen and we draw another holding call but Holzer gets a couple nice chunks in the passing game before we get bottled up in the RZ so settle for tying it up. Penalties and a stuff have DVY facing a 2nd and 20 but TE Horton breaks loose for 31. We tackle Donaldson short on another 3rd down target. We get our first 3rd down conversion but it is called back on a penalty but no matter we find Fence deep and he grabs another to get us in the RZ once more. This time the ground game is working and Holzer finds the edge to put us up 7. DVY is battling on O with Donaldson being unstoppable on3rd and short and Shannon beats another 3rd down double for a chunk to get them to FG range and then takes a screen to the house to tie things up early in the 4th. Holzer rolls us to their 40 with ease and Fence breaks off a short pass for a 40 yard TD. DVY goes back to a doubled Shannon 34rd and this time we pick Buckley. But we barely budge it and our 45 yard FG attempt is partially blocked. WR Shelton converts a 3rd and picks up a YAC chunk for DVY at the 5 minute mark but his next grab is short of the sticks after a sack and Alexander hurries Buckley on 3rd and 2 at our 7 and DVY opts to kick the FG. Yet another holding call kills any chance we had to grind out the clock and DVY takes over with 1:49 left and 1 TO at their 33. But they go 4andO to end things. It weren't pretty but we got the W. 3rd down just killed us on both sides but our athletes got enough chunks and our D made DVY go down the whole field holding up nicely in the RZ. |

Great game and write up Ushikawa! Our questionable descion to go for the Field Goal on our final Red Zone trip proved costly. The DPI commited by Rector hurt too. Your team just kept going like the energizer bunny. You and I have had a long history of meetings in the playoffs and its always a close game. It has been a pleasure to be in the league with you for so many years. Always hoping for the win; but getting to watch a fantastic battle was a good consolation prize. Good luck on the rest of the Playoff run; you have a great team. |

GG Masked, No turnovers for either team, but Barker went down in the first half. I hate to see a starting QB injured in the playoffs. Meanwhile Bennett stepped up and played really well, but Brooklyn had a drive at the end of the half and at the end of the game. This game could have gone either way. 2-1 against the Attack this year and a rematch against Shreveport looming. Last year the Pride took the Brawlers down at home in the playoffs after a loss earlier in the season. Brooklyn is hoping to return the favor this year. Good luck Raven Hawk, Dean |
