Full treeatment of course this week. We let ATL get back int eh gaem earlier this year and they burned us with a 2M drill and we actually decreased our run out the clock settign to 3M instead of 4M after this game. On O, I am a bit concerned that oru edge rushing won't work as well as usual and for efficiency in general as they have 2 solid CBs but didn't change much up at the end of the day. Supposedly they are weak against eh intermediate passes we prefer but we didn0t add anything extra there. On D we were able to snipe their GP last time with Reis out and redid our anlysis but things will be much harder now and we will need a solid tackling performance not just underneath but against the run as ATL is quite balanced in their approach and we in general will be oriented at takign away the deeper options.

Ideal start for us with a 10 rush drive leading ot a TD, a personal foul on Fence looked to muck thing sup but he made up for it by taking a YAC chunk on a screen on the next snap. TE McCammon take s ahuge YAC chunk off of playaction as we doubled the deep route on a play we recognize from GPing, they get anotehr run chunk but Shelton drops the 3rd down pass in teh RZ. Nice KR and TE Boon who has coem along in the second half of the year as our underneath option grabs move us across midfield but we stall out with an ugly stuff, hurry and misfire series. Our run D does well on early downs but they run PA on 3rd and 9 and find the underneath option once more as we douple the deep route and convert. Shelton drops another ball whilst beign doubled and Klingbiel scrambles on 3rd to move the sticks once more. We get to another 3rd down and get a TFL on a screen to Reis to end the threat but take over at our 2.

A ncie runnign chunk right up the gut as C Fuller is having himself a day and then we hit Crabtree downfield. 3rd down specialist Caniglia converts on 3rd adn short for us and we grind it to the orange zoen before hitting Wr Fence downfield to set up goal to go but DE Houston barrels through the line and gets teh strip sack FR. Klingbiel is efficient but our tackling nullifies the short game to get a stop despite the completions. We get a couple 3rd down conversions with the running game drying up before Fence take another screen for a big chunk for anothe r1st and goal at the 2M mark and grabs hte TD on the next snap. Big KR for ATL has them near midfield and we get anotehr failed complete on 3rd to set up 4th and 2 and thankfully they boot it into the end zone.

Very happy so far, could be better without that strip sack in teh RZ but so far we are bullying up front on both sides and tackling very well up 281 to 116 in yardage.

A ncie KR but more very solid run D from us and we block the 3rd down attempt at the line. A hold puts us back inside our 10 but Crabtree takes a short pass 41 yards. We can0t convert on 3rd and 2 in teh orange zone but flip the field at least. Pressure end well timed doubling is making things tough for Klingbiel and we get anotehr failed complete on D on 3rd down. We can't put them away though as we've got 9 rushing yards since the early 2nd quarter. ATL gets a coupel nice runs to get into FG range and Reis and Shelton each grab chunks to get them a TD and all of a sudden it's a 4 point game with 20 minutes left. Nice KR once more and we taek a shot downfield but can't connect and ATL's 3rd down rush derails us onc emore. Shelton beats teh double as Klingbiel spins away from pressure and RB Matthews loses the ball on a run but ATL comes up with it but we hold on 3rd and short to win possession back Holzer finds the left edge breakign tackles for 63 yards as C Fulelr leads teh way once more so we will get 1st and goal to start the 4th.

Consecutive false starts are overcoem as we find Sigrest in teh corner of the endzone to go up two scores. ALT has to battle back from a hold but 2 short completiosn isn't enough and the P holds onto the snap too long and is tackled on the punt attempt (don't think I've ever seen that before). We make it hard on ourselves openign with a flaste start and sack but 2 intermediate passes gets us another 1st and goal and Sigrest grabs hsi second TD on teh day. Reis converts a tough 3rd and short against the double and Klingbiel picks up the next one with his legs as we are makig nthem work for every yard they start to open things up at the 8 minute mark andend up facing a 4th adn 8 at our 11 and Reis breaks a tackle on a short route to convert getting their TD with 5:41 left but it's still a 10 point game after the 2 pointer. We grind out a first down but then lose the ball )aaargh!) so ATL takes over at oru 38 with 3 minute left. And of course they get a TD with 1:38 left to make it a 3 point game.

ATL ealrier this year and BOI in the WC round both recovered onside kicks late in game swe had won oh boy. But LB Crowther is the hero after not playing all regular season to ge the rookei snaps. ATl still has all their TOs though and takes over at tehir 20 with 45 seconds left. ANd a sack seals it.

Jeesus, this team is gonan give em a heart attack.

Great game though. Got that early rushing success and Sherman didn't turn i over., 7 yards per play (inflated by a few hero balls but all the same). Lost all 3 fumbles which si why it was close but RZ and 3rd down were strong as well. D did it's thing without a lot of succesful pressure agaisnt eh slippery Klingbiel tackling for 2 YAC/catch.

Never woudla guessed we woudl be Bowl bound at the beginning of the season but here we are.
