Not content with causing them to lose 17-10 to New Orleans, the Football Gods have frowned upon Boston further by cursing them with Influenza. Affected are [b77fc8dd]LB Mattos[/b77fc8dd], [b77fc8dd]CBs Strait[/b77fc8dd] and [b77fc8dd]Nichols[/b77fc8dd], [b77fc8dd]OG Cordoba[/b77fc8dd], [b77fc8dd]OT Ackerman[/b77fc8dd], [b77fc8dd]WRs Dawkins[/b77fc8dd] and [b77fc8dd]Washington[/b77fc8dd], and [b77fc8dd]DEs Kirk[/b77fc8dd] and [b77fc8dd]Crank[/b77fc8dd]. Clearly the heaviest affects will be in the secondary and the D-Line, with Boston's best defensive player sidelined for Week 7.
"It's not been one of our better weeks" said Head Coach Sam Hobbs after the New Orleans effort. "Although we rushed for 54 times against them, we just couldn't get enough first downs to control the game. I'm running out of ideas."
Boston will have to generate some ideas if they want to salvage this season. Luckily the team is in great cap shape and returns most of its key players next year also in good cap shape. Question is: how will the team's leadership make a change for the better?
