New Orleans, LA (AP) - The New Orleans Breakers announced a change in the team logo today. "The dang wave was so whimpy, and this. . . well, I think it speaks for itself," said a club official. "We don't wash between peoples toes as they wander along the beach. . . We beat them over the head with a piece of steel and feed on their FLESH! We are the NEW ORLEANS BREAKERS!!!"

Cool! Actually, I'm surprised no RL team has picked up on the LOTR bandwagon and chosen a heroic fantasy mascot, such as Orcs or Trolls or such like...

Note, there is a football team (real football, not the european sissy soccer game) called Grenoble Orcs here in France, but their level of play is pretty pathetic, probably around high school level...

Sweden has had a "Goblins" team once (now defunct I think) and one of the better Norwegian teams was the "Oslo Trolls".
