Yet another PO battle with LVS. It's been talked to death but we need to control their pass rush on O and not give up big YAC chunks or lose tot the running game on D. We have LB Hampton to help with the run this time but are without our run stopper at SS, earlier this season we mostly played 2 high and did well against the pass except for a couple chunks but those combined with 2 strip sacks by their D was enough for us to lose. Think we just need one or two improvements and we got this one.

A failed complete on 3rd and 3 leads to a 3andO to start for our O, we take a personal foul to start on D and then they bulldoze their way to the red zone and hit Vanags on PA for 6. We move it down the field with little resistance but get stifled isnide the 10 and settle for 3 points. MCSwain burns us deep on a 3rd and 4 and then Rb Gredz breaks loose on the edge to set them up at our 2 and former SWodbuster TE Boon catches the TD pass. We get anotehr failed ocomplete on 3rd coming up just a yard shy of the sticks and boom it into the endzone.

We get our first stop on D quickly and promptly fumble it away on our first offensive play. An intentional grounding pushes LVS out of FG rannge but they battle back to get an attempt off but miss. Nothing doing for our run game or 3rd down passing still and its another touchback punt. Roush hits acoupel intermediates to get LVS to the orange zone and Gredz rips off another chunk on the edge but a penalty knock s them back but they hit the long FG this time for a 14 poitn lead. WR Donaldson twice catches a short pass but no YAC and we get oru 3rd failed complete on 3rd of the game at least pinning them at the 5 this time. NO godo though as WR Woodard takes a 5 yard completion 95 yards for a 21 point LVS advantage. A defensive penalty gives us extra snaps but we jsu tcan't connect passing at all and LVS take it back just inside of 2M and we get a pitiful INT but time has expired for the half.

Wow just a total disaster, they are up to 120 on the ground and averaging over 11 YPA whle we are under 4. 21 points is likely too much even if the D plays perfect this half.

They convert a 3rd adn short and then Vanags grabs a YAC chunk once more, we gift them a set of downs fo rthe 3rd time with a penalty on 3rd down adn they push the lead to 24 points. We ar eonce mroe toothless on O but get it back with 19 momiuntes left in the game. A big 3rd down scramble sparks as we finally connect with Sigrest downfield but ar eonce gain stifled inside the 10 and kick a meaningless FG to remain down 21.

We can't stop anything on D and T Boon even converts a 3rd and 19 afer a hoding call coulda bailed us out and Roush scrambles in a game sealing TD.

That was embarrassing, there's a reason I say you are the best Turf...will see how much further you can go this season.

We managed just one 1 pass rush on 33 dropbacks, gave up 120 yards rushing in the first half and even without hte 95 yard TD woulda gave up over 8 ypa. You stifled our run game and while we did okay in pass pro our completion percentage was still under 50% and under 2 YAC/catch.

I'm not sure if we had played a different D it even woulda mattered as we stoped absolutely nothing.

gg Ush, It's always exciting playing you guys in the playoffs, as we both are dynamic in our playcalling on both sides of the ball. We never quite know what we'll get from each other.

You guys did much better this time in limiting our pass rush, but the few hurries and the blocked pass we did get were very timely.

We hit our stride a couple of weeks ago on offense and instead of trying to GP to our opponent, we do our thing based on our strengths and hope it's good enough.

GL in the off-season and I look forward to more playoff matchups in the future.

Time for a rematch with ORE. I hope the visiting team wins again.
