[b6a213f6]Klemu's Games of the Week![/b6a213f6]

As we near playoff time again, certain cities catch a case of playoff fever, while other cities pack it up and give tickets away to homeless people who can't even scalp the tickets to generate enough money for a full-on Ramen dinner. As you sit on your couch, deliberating between reruns of Magnum P.I. and CBS' crappy local coverage of regional CFL action, you may think to yourself, "Maybe I should get satellite TV with NFL Sunday Ticket?" Well, you should, dumbass. And it's my job to tell you which games to watch, so shut up and listen.

[b6a213f6]#4 - El Paso(10-3) at Denver (7-6)[/b6a213f6]
Why Should I Watch This Game? Because you're a Rockets fan and you want to see them officially clinch the division. Or, because you are a masochistic Dynamite fan who is clinging to that last shred of hope that your team might actually make the playoffs. This game is do or die for Denver. Although they are on a 3 game winning streak, they are 0-4 in Cavalry Division play and still need to leap frog over 5 other teams to get in to the playoffs. On the soft side, if Denver can win this game, they should be able to finish 10-6 with a chance at a playoff spot. Their remaining two matches are against Tulsa and Cleveland. El Paso is looking to wrap up the division and take another step towards that coveted 1st week playoff bye.

What Should I Expect? Expect El Paso to control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, while Denver's young QB, Marcus Garibaldi, runs around the backfield trying to find Curtis Plotkin open anywhere and anytime he can. El Paso will try to slow down the pace of the game and use a deliberate running attack with Terrell Keith to do so. The Rockets' Ernest Lorenzo will throw safe passes for the majority of the game, but don't be surprised if he takes a couple chances downfield. Denver wants this game to turn into a track meet, El Paso does not.

Klemu's Kall: El Paso clinches the division in Denver with a strong defensive effort. Defensive End, Pierre Hinson, will be the player of the game racking up at least 2 sacks. El Paso by 4.

[b6a213f6]#3 - Las Vegas(7-6) at Tucson (9-4)[/b6a213f6]
Why Should You Watch This Game? Tucson started off the season strong going 6-0, however, they have stumbled as of late dropping 4 of their last 7. Tucson holds a wild card ticket right now so they control their own destiny. With Atlantic City and Arizona left on the schedule, this looks to be they're toughest game. Las Vegas has been on fire as of late, winning 4 of their last 5. When you look at their win column, it is unipressive as you can see victories over the likes of Atlantic City, Arizona (2), and Tulsa. However, you can't blame the schedulers. The fact remains that Las Vegas has won 7 games and is trying to find a back door into the playoffs, which yours truly said they couldn't do (this counts as an added blessing to the team).

What Should I Expect? Expect the Rounders to blitz the hell out of the Toros. Tucson's offensive line roster reads like the admissions chart to an infirmary. The real questions is who is going to actually play for Tucson up front. Rumor has it that Tony Mandarich may be coming out of retirement for a couple games with the Toros. At the same time, look for a heavy dose of Drew Holliday from Tucson, their playoff lives are in the hands of the young rookie, who is making a great argument that he should be the CFL's Rookie of the Year. Las Vegas will need to capitalize on Tucson's recent affinity for turning the ball over. Tucson will need to stop the long ball that Lenny "Jackpot" Olsen is so fond of.

Klemu's Kall: The patchwork offensive line of Tucson will be enough to run on Las Vegas. As long as Drew Holliday doesn't run straight into the arms of Mario Ah Yat, the Toros should win this one and add to their impressive 5-1 home record. Tucson by 2.

[b6a213f6]#2 - Sacramento(7-6) at Huntington Beach(8-5)[/b6a213f6]
Why Should I Watch This Game? This game has huge playoff ramifications. For the Dragons, it's pretty clear cut: lose and you're out. For Huntington Beach, it's more complex. With a Capitalists loss, the San Andreas Division has a very good possibility of having 3 teams tied at 8-6 with 2 weeks left to go in the season. If that's the case, you can expect one team to make it to the playoffs with the division championship bid, and the other two teams to go home. This, of course, is providing that Santa Cruz can take care of business at Long Beach. Sacramento, however, will have to win the game without star QB, Seymour Barre. You would think that this would kill the Dragons' chances, but in fact the 3rd year QB, Luke Alston, is 2-0 as a replacement with victories over Anchorage and Charleston. Huntington Beach finally checked their 3-game losing skid with a victory over a Barbieri-less Baltimore. Their victories as of late have not been impressive, but they still hold the top spot in the division.

What Should I Expect? In addition to the Seymoure Barre injury, the Dragons will also be missing their leading rusher, Alexis Rounds, and starting Center Darrell Smith. Look for the Capitalists to be blitzing early and often. The Caps will also be looking to exploit Sacramento's week run defense. On the other side of the ball, look for coach Story to give the ball to Luke Alston and put his trust their. The Dragons don't have much more to hope upon than that.

Klemu's Kall: Vegas says Huntington Beach by 3. Klemu says Sacramento by 1. DING! DING! DING! This is Klemu's upset of the week. There really is no reason for me to make this pick, but a gut feeling tells me that Luke Alston is going to be spectacular in this one.
[b6a213f6]
#1 - Boise(8-5) at Seattle(9-4)[/b6a213f6]
Why Should I Watch This Game? Because it's the game of the week, dummy! Boise is coming off a heart wrenching overtime loss to Shreveport at home and Seattle has lost 2 of their last 3. However, this division is tight and has three very good teams fighting for playoff spots. Seattle has been the suprise team of the season considering that they earned the #1 overall draft choice for this season. In the first meeting between the two teams, Seattle's Charles Dever was a madman throwing for 254 yards and 4 TD's to score the 28-20 victory. Boise has wanted revenge ever since and this weekend they will get their chance to exact it. There really is no reason that you shouldn't be watching this game this weekend.

What Should I Expect? You should expect the media to go hog-wild over the key matchup in this game: Seattle's WR Cole Faison vs. CB Craig Jiles. You can be certain that Jiles is being given the responsibility to shut down Faison this week. If Boise is successful at shutting Faison down, it will be easy for them to keep Dever's other two favorite receivers (FB Kimmel, TE Downing) in front of their safeties. Expect Burt "The Polish Express" Liskiewicz to have a tough day against Boise's stout run defense. Look for Boise's Brandon Lin to cut up Seattle's non-existent pass defense and look for Boise's Terrance Ryan to have a career day in Seattle.

Klemu's Kall: Vegas says Boise by 3 and by God, I have to agree with them for once. I truly would like to give Seattle a few more points, but Charles Dever is too good of a player to bet against. Klemu's best recommendation: Don't bet on this game, it will piss you off.

[b6a213f6]Klemu's Gaim uf teh Sux![/b6a213f6]

This is free press time for the one game that you should avoid at all costs.

[b6a213f6]Cleveland(3-10) at Albany(3-10)[/b6a213f6]
Why Should I Watch This Game? Because your only other option is a cactus enema.

What Should I Expect? Two teams to field very inexperience players to get them further development.

Klemu's Kall: Didn't you here me the first time? Don't watch this game, you fool.
