3rd time meeting MIA and should be doozy. We are opening it up on O as running on them has always been a struggle. On D we will mostly be doubling Mathews as that worked pretty well last time and just pray our run D holds up especially outta nickel.

Rookie bust RB Plourde provides a chunk off the edge but we take a sack in the orange zone and just miss the long FG attempt. 4 straight runs gets MIA into the orange zone themselves but there's a big TFL from vet LB Hampton and Downs coughs it up with MIA's Daly coming outta the scrum with the ball. They get a catch and run to move the chains but then Fryday throws a duck and CB Horton steps in front to get us the ball back at midfield. An ugly 3andO for our O with a sack on 3rd. They can't find Flowers on a well timed deep shot against a single high blitz and then eat a hold and a sack and punt it away. WR Rice grabs a chunk to get us into the orange zone once more and then follows it up with a 3rd down catch and run to paydirt and first blood. MIA draws another holding call and can't do anything on 3rd and forever.

We come u a yard shy on 3rd and 5 as our running concerns are validated. MIA moves the sticks a couple times but runs outta steam. We catch them with a draw on 2nd and 10 to get into FG range, grind our way to inside the 10 and find H-Back Schulz on 3rd to go up 14. Fryday dodges the rush and look sat Flynn but its another featherball and Edge Wheeler didn't rush this time and grabs the pick 6 unchallenged. Big KR ot our 40 for MIA as they need something to get into the game but they force it to a doubled Flowers and CB Horton grabs another INT. We can't take advantage with our pass heavy attack. Fryday strings together 8 straight completions I think to set up a 1st and goal and Fryday scrambles in on 3rd down with 35 seconds left.

INTs are obviously the difference but really our D is playing great ball other than that hurry up drive which still forced them to execute a lot. O is a bit boom and bust but if we can find some consistency we should walk away with it.

MIA is dinking and dusting with TE Thomas getting some short completions to keep them moving but they him down the seam on a 3rd down and have to punt and we take over at our 7. Our own TE Moffit jukes his away to a 20 yard gain but we peter out after that and a hold on the PR at least manages to flip the field. MIA grinds it out of their end and you can see their GP working but they are down 14 with 20 minutes left- then they get the couple YAC chunks they are missing from a TE and Flowers to get to our 12, they try a doubled Matthews twice but we have him mugged up an come away with a FG. A nice KR sparks us and TE Curson grabs a short one on 3rd and turns upfield for 32 yards and Shapiro find the left edge in the RZ to get us up 18 to start the 4th quarter.

And MIA promptly gives up the KR fumble and we take over, we move backwards however with a hold and shank the FG to the right. MIA grabs another FG but the clock goes down to 10 minutes and we grind out another TD and that's ballgame.

Seems like Flowers was a bit of a surprise wonder this season for MIA, I'd bet they change playbook/GP this offseason and find a way to make those doubles more costly. Also Hughes may be gone but multi INT games remain.

Our O was pretty meh but it did enough for his one, but we'll need a better plan and execution in the Bowl.

As always a good write up.

GG Ush. We didn't have a clean game and you can't expect to win giving the ball away 5 times.

Good luck in the bowl game. Bring home another trophy for the Calvary Division.
