The Cleveland Flats is a waterfront boardwalk where people go to drink. Lots of bars. Here is a photo:

Well, TLK team needs a simple logo for his team!

If Cleveland is willing to consider renaming their team to the "Cleveland B Flats" then a Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame tie-in would be a natural:

That skyline seems pretty typical and would probably make a nice logo, if anybody has the skills to do in Photoshop. Maybe the just the shadow?

Why not just change the name to something else entirely? Suggestions:
Cleveland Comets
Cleveland Cyclones
Cleveland Cougars
Cleveland Cannons

or take the "Steamers" nickname and use a tugboat as a symbol or something.

If TLK doesn't like it, he could go with a modification of one of these (I would take out the light triangle in #2):
