I am assuming what was stated in that thread is what we will go with- an extra pick at the end of the 3rd round, be entered as your 4th...
Taco will need to confirm this- or if he has another option...
This is one reason I am hoping we use VPI's utility as I have seen less problems with it.

Ok, here's how I would like to solve the problem:

The pick that Atlantic City lost last year was #140. This year pick #140 is 5.16 (since 4 3rd rounders have been lost due to cap violations).

Pick 5.16 currently belongs to New Orleans but I'm going to trade it to Atlantic City.

Then I'm going to give pick 5.17 (owned by Denver) to New Orleans.

Then I'm going to give pick 5.18 (owned by Boston) to Denver.

Etc. Etc. Etc.

Everyone will move down one slot and Honolulu will lose its 7.32 pick.

This will fill up the transaction log with lots of trades and it will take some time, but other than that I don't see any downside. This is the fairest solution that I can come up with.

Thoughts?

are you positive the lost picks remain lost at this point. I didnt do anything to lose a pick except enter the new season with cap overage. last year I was under. I assumed that i wouldnt really lost the pick so long as i fixed my cap by the end of FA.

You traded your third to me, which I in turn lost because I was over the cap...

Thats classic. I wish the system wouldnt lock us out of trades so I could look at my picks for upcoming years at this point. Is there anywhere else they are listed that Im not thinking about.

It is indeed very nice.
Just a word of warning though, the IHOF had some glitches in their recent draft, a couple of bugs very similar to what we had in our last draft, that were fixed very quickly by VPI because he was very on top of things. I do not think we would get that kind of support, and really we shouldn't expect it from any 3rd party we would use.

On top of that and to be fair even to Honolulu, Mr Bug could pick someone at 7.33 and he would then pick this player up in post draft FA. If we know the guy's off limit, I'm sure no owner would go after him.

Other than that, your solution seems fair to me. It really involves a lot of extra work for you though, so are you sure that's OK?

Problem is, I can't really come up with a better solution..somebody quick, get an  !

I was thinking the same thing for Honolulu. It does seem like a lot of work though....

Yeah, it's a lot of work but I'll do it anyway. And that's a good idea about Honolulu. Let's do that. You got that, MrBug?
