I'd like to move up in the draft and/or be willing to take on bad players with good players if the situation arises

Just to clarify, I'm not looking for stud players via trade. I am willing to take on bad contracts or cap hits provided I get a good player in return.

I also wouldnt mind moving up in the draft.

People keep offering me good players and asking for future picks. That's not what Im looking to do.

MB,

That doesn't make sense to me at all... what is it that you are looking for?

You want decent players, but not star players? What are you willing to give up if not future picks?

My guess would be something along the line of what's being done a lot in baseball or even basketball nowadays. He's looking to not give up a lot (low pick? disposable players?) for solid players and the price he would be paying in the deal is taking on bad contracts so that you can get out of bad salary cap situation.

I do not see much benefit in that from the other owner's perspective, but whatever...

1) I'm not MrBug, just somebody trying to help clarify his message as best as I understand it.

2) I'm not advocating the method one way or the other, nor care, really, just trying to help others understand Bug's post.
