[quotee5906fd="wademoore"]I think it is the right thing to do to help db...

but.. i think it should be a one time thing... this tool of VPI's has been used way too much for that sort of problem to not be user error... if we want to get through this thing, we need to be pretty strict about this down the line... through 4 IHOF drafts this has never happened... so i don't think it is the tool...[/quotee5906fd]

Then the simple answer is that I will avoid using the tool unless making my own pick or using only lists 1 player deep.

That's a pretty negative way to look at it..

The tool is a wonderful thing and has a MAJOR impact on the draft.... we finished the IHOF draft in 3 or 4 days from 1st to 7th round.... I think this is a poor attitude to take about it.

Alright, people. I leave my computer for a few hours and everything falls apart.

Glad it got resolved.

The most important thing to remember, however is this:

It is a [b18a6c7e]game[/b18a6c7e] and the players you are drafting [b18a6c7e]are not real[/b18a6c7e]. :D

Looks like we're making good time. Keep up the good work.

If anyone needs to contact me, I'll be online for the next four hours or so.

I'm posting a rule about how we will deal with this situation. Read it.

A great pick by Boston at 2.12, by far the most talented C, also possibly one of the best OL in the draft.
I was really surprised to see him drop that far...Had I kept my 1st rounder, I [ie64d589]might [/ie64d589]have taken him...

I considered taking him with the 30th overall. The value was just too much to pass up.

I got 2.20 by drafting my backup RB to New York last season.
Only fitting that I draft another backup RB with it... :)

I think Putzier is a good pick. I came really close to taking him a few picks ago.

Gimme a few more minutes.[/quote54602ac]

Well, I have to tell you guys, these were probably the most thrilling minutes in my FOF MP experience so far.

Taking offers from 3 possible trade partners, messages flying back and forth in all directions....

Pretty unusual for me since I don't trade so often, mainly because of the time difference difficulties...

But, this....Truly an exciting time...

Now, I get to sit back and watch until the bottom of the 2nd round...[/quote54602ac]

I could have told you that trading is a fun thing to do...

Thanks! :)

What's even funnier, however, is that this was the guy I was trying to get by trading for your 1.31! :)

We're very happy to get Noyeaux. He'll probably back up Hayes to start, and then surpass him. Since we already know that Hayes is OK with playing backup (after spending a year behind Fulbright), this should work out well.

He was on my short list (of 4). I picked right after he was chosen so it made my decision a little easier.

Any opinions on G Riddick Husak?

he was 5th on my list of 5 for my 2.22 pick, not saying much, but it's something :) At least he was in there :D

I really don't like the Putzier pick, however Husak is a very good pick in my book.

Just made my first two picks:

WR Cornelius Webster - He should be a great fit for us as a fourth receiver this upcoming season and he should develop into at least a third wideout if not a starter. He has very solid combine numbers, low volatility, and should be great going across the middle with his high courage and avoid drops. Only real negatives I see here are his low big play ability, endurance, and lack of return skills.

ILB Jeffrey Keane - He looks like he's going to be a very solid run stopper, but he might have some trouble trying to cover a FB or TE coming out of the backfield. He's strong and agile, but not particularly fast and not as smart as you would expect a Hofstra grad to be. As long as his 67 volatility doesn't come into play, he should see plenty of action this season for the Rockets.

I was suprised to see him last that long. I considered taking him at 2-10.

Regarding Husack, I almost took him at 2.14 but couldn't pass on the value Twisp presented.

After filling a need in round 1, I couldn't make a need pick in round 2 with a value pick staring me in the face.

I might add that everything on my list dried up right before my second while it seemed there was too much to chosse from in the first. This was 180 degrees from my experience last year. Strange draft class so far IMO.

Any thoughts on RT Twisp?

Dola,

I also liked the NT Alex Parrish pick that went after me too. He was very tempting. He has a hard time getting is feet to go where they need to but I don't think that will get in the way of his abilities.

I considered taking Parrish at 2.02 and I do not think he would have been a reach there.

I hear he has the same lawyer as Stropka's wife. I hear she kicks his weak-as-5 reps-gets-ass daily.

Supposedly 30 of his 39 volatility rating is due to his wife.

Good luck with that one...

What? Are you crazy? Stropka doesn't have the courage to stand up to his wife. :D However, you can see him book out of his front door running a 4.42 when she's on the rag.

With my third pick I decided to take Alonzo Downs. He could boom or bust. I know he is strong but slow. I just need someone to plug the middle for me and be a hoss.

I know that TEs are usually a dime a dozen in FOF but I had him as 1st round talent. I need other positions but I couldn't resist snapping him up.

I might be getting rid of Robertson after all.
