The suspense is over - I selected Spearman.

In the short term, I hope this allows me to run a more balanced offense next season that doesn't fall apart if Oberg (or Beech) goes down.

Long term, this may be the beginning of a massive change in the Attack offense. Beech's requested contract has massive cap hits after year one.

 The surprises never cease!

That guy has bust written all over him. 8)

As far as commentary goes . . . I think that it is a no-brainer.

Just keep re-franchising him every year until he gets the picture. ;)

I don't think Spearman will bust...4.35 speed, 26 Repetitions, 7 flat on the agility- tops of all the RBs...but the high volatility would worry me a little, but I think he will turn out ot be a GREAT Rb.

Where will memphis go with this pick? :?:
I have them picking Terrell in my mock, but I think I could be wrong

Hartford took Spearman?

In other news, water is wet and the sky is up, even in Australia!

Congrats, Hartford. I think you've got a starting RB for the next 10 years.

Hah.. golden!

Agreed... I tried my hardest to get this pick to have Spearman - you guys know I love to run. But this guy should be a STUD.

In three years he'll be toking it up with Lenny Kravitz in Malasia.

A brief comment on the Hartford - Arizona deal that resulted in this selection: the real winners here were the other [iaaab36e]Ring of Fire[/iaaab36e] teams. :D

Memphis has an interesting choice. It sounded like GE was hinting that he wanted to pick a QB and trade Urrutia. But the trade hasn't happened yet, if it will at all. I wonder what the asking price is for a high quality QB?

My thoughts exactly- I'm not sure how many, if any, offers he has recieved for Urrutia...

I'll admit I was in the mix for Urrutia until I traded for another QB.

I smell smokescreen...Terrell is picked #2.

The again, is Terrell worth a #2 pick?

Memphis takes QB Blaine Hoffman.
Cleveland takes DE Cary Delgado.

Hoffman surprises a bit, in that RB Terrell's supposed to be better, but Memphis clearly wanted a QB.

Delgado surprises a bit, until you realize that Cleveland have RB Lang.

RB Terrell continues to fall.... Long Beach has RB Sherman New, right? Would they draft a new franchise RB?

Looks that way. After turning down two contract offers, New is gonna get sent packing...

Hoffman was a great pick in my book... I was working to trade up to 1.03 to try and get him until GE grabbed him...

I question the Delgado move a lot.. seems way to high to take him, but at the same time it looks like maybe TLK was trying to move out of that spot but got no takers, so he picked on need..

I always love the debate:

"Draft for need" vs "best player available"

I'm salivating at the thought of picking soon.

Wow I love the draft.

Trust me, there were takers, for both the pick and Lang. He may not have been able to get what he needed at the picks he was getting in return.

If you want/need a guy, it doesn't matter what it costs if he won't be there at your next opportunity...TLK has his player and that's probably all that matters to him.

It was a rough pick. The superstar talent in this draft is weak. However, I'm trying my best to not have another season like last year. Cary Delgado was the best selection with The Flats in desprate need at DE.

In a perfect world, I would have traded down and still nabbed Delgado. The interested teams however, had picks where Delgado would of been off the board.

I have someone in mind for my next pick, but I may need to move up to secure him. Hmmmm...

New is an 8 year vet at RB- with only 1 year left on his deal...In that situation I would have to draft Terrell
