Case in point: I drafted CB Earl Mills in the 1st round and despite my best efforts, he has a conflict with the position leader.

I know I can trade him after I sign him, but that will give me a big cap hit.

So, is the trading of drafted, non-signed players:

1. Technically possible?

2. Legal within the CFL?

I believe the only way you could of traded him was before the picks were put into the game.

:edit: Jeeber beat me to it...

And that's the reason why I think we should maybe think about not inputing any of the draftees until the draft is over. That way, we can trace player rights during the draft.

Something to think about for next year maybe?

In flere's situation, it wouldn't of helped anyway. He wouldn't have found out about the conflict until the player was on his roster....

Thanks for the responses, guys.

Oh well, looks like I've got a conflict in the secondary for the next year.... Maybe CB Nichols will retire in the offseason. :)
