No date or time change.

We're going to run the stage as scheduled on Friday a.m.

I'll be my usual whiner and everything, but these changes, as small as they are, have got to stop. Please, we set a schedule and stick to it, it's not like simming it one day early will make the world turn faster or anything...

I'll be the first to say no, sorry.

I'm not taking a vote. I'm checking on availability.

Since your objection is based on "principle" that the schedule changes "have got to stop", and not your availability, I assume that you are available to submit at export by 10:00 pm tonight.

If all remaining owners reply to this thread by then, I will run the stage. If less than all the owners reply by then, I won't. No big deal.

You may not like the proposed schedule changes, but I think you need to suck it up and not whine about it. You could have just said you weren't available, and that would have been fine.

What you did was make a judgment about me and the other owners which, to me, demonstrates that you take this league for granted, to some degree.

Running the stages, inputing trades, zipping the files, and uploading them every day gets to be annoying. Especially when I do it late at night (when I'm usually in bed) so all of West Coast owners have a chance to submit exports and all of the East Coast owners can enjoy getting the new file when they wake up in the morning before they start work.

Before you start lecturing me, or the rest of the league, maybe you should think about what you have done for the league. Maybe you should offer to run the stages every single day for a month.

You could have checked the draft every couple hours, like I did, and made picks for all of the teams that didn't set preference lists (or whose lists were empty) so the draft kept moving. If GE and I didn't do that, we'd still be in Round 7 right now.

If covering for Taco has taught me anything, it is what a difficult job being Commissioner, even on an interim basis, can be. Doing this has given me a tremendous appreciation for what Taco does for the league.

Thanks, Taco.:D

BTW, thanks GE for inputting all of the draft picks and giving me a break for the weekend to attend my brother's wedding.

By making the bolded assumption you're assuming I am available, which is not really the case, got a busy evening and I probably won't be able to find time to put in an export. Oh yeah, I'll suck it up, but don't say I take your work, or everybody else's work for granted. I only see a schedule and arrange my own schedule around it. Then we change it. With no posted reasons, just like I didn't explain why I was against the move.

I planned on doing my export tomorrow night, but now it's tonight. Doesn't look like a big deal, well to me, sticking to a schedule is... sorry for being a pain

GI,

With all due respect to the work that you, Taco and GE put in, I think that you may have over-reacted to FrogMan's post. I really don't think that FrogMan was criticizing your dedication nor anybody else's. FrogMan's response in no way prompted such a backlash at him. And by no means should anybody question FM's dedication to the league based on the response that he made.

He made a simple point that we should quit waffling about our decisions. If you want to override, his veto, that is your right as the interim Commish. But your post should have stopped there.

We have an excellent owner base in this league, and FM, just like every other owner, should be able to state their opinion without getting flamed for doing so.

Your ruling has been made on his response. We can all respect your authority as the Commish. Now let's drop this "what have you done for the league" crap, step back, take a deep breath and move on.

RH, I'm even sadder/unhappy (take whatever word you'd want) now that I read your post. I sort of blanked out when I read the "suck it up" comment and had not even read the rest until now. :(

I don't even want to say I'm angry because most of what GI said is true, I have not brought much to the league other than my presense, and yeah, I'm sorry about that, but I'm dealing with my team and never asked to be in charge of stuff. Sorry if I was supposed to be handling the draft of daily exports, I didn't know that was part of the deal.

I'll stop now, never wanted to be a trouble maker and won't start today. Sorry if I offended anyone. This simply makes me kinda sad... :(

You are important owner, FM.

I overreacted to your comment. I just thought you were objecting for the sake of objecting. I didn't know you had availability problems.

Misunderstanding, and I apologize.

So, we'll do the stage on Friday to be fair to everyone.

Sorry for the confusion. No more schedule changes for me, that's for sure.

:D

GI,

I think we all definitely appreciate all of the hard work that you have put in these past few weeks.

Let's just call this a misunderstanding and everyone can start insulting me to vent their frustrations.

Just call me the "lightning rod of hate." :)

Kudos to anybody who gets the quoted reference.

On a separate note: I can't WAIT to get this season going. The sooner it's going, the sooner it's over with and the sooner I can move out of this pit of a town. :)

Stretch
