I'm an original owner? That's news to me. I'm pretty sure someone had the team for a week or so before me, but couldn't tell you who.

Atlantic City...

I think you were the orginal owner. We lost a ton of interest before the league even started. We lost some people to the IHOF. We orginally started out as the hip alternative to the IHOF where you would see the older guys. We had the younger guys. Some people committed to the league and did not even buy the game. Others just disappered.

GridIron was not an original owner. I did have some old notes on the CFL I found. I will dig them up if it really interests anybody.

I believe bbor was the original owner of the Atlantic City franchise. Not sure if he was around for the start of the first season, but the team was his.

I came into the league midway through the 2003 season, I think.

I don't recall who I replaced. Anyone recall who originally owned the Portland Knights?

That is the first complete list. You replaced HeavyReign. Everyone of those owners sent in a preference list. That is you have to blame. GI, I think you were an orginial invite, but you turned it down.

Unfortunately, Long Beach has sucked so far in CFL history.

I took CHICAGO during the course of the first season I think. Joined up in may of 04. not the original owner but been around awhile.

That makes sense, because I know I took over after the preference draft. I also initially turned down the invite to this league because I wasn't sure I was going to buy FOF 2004.

Come to think of it, I got invited as well and I turned it down, then not knowing I would buy the game afterall. I turned down some application by another league as well. All before I got an IHOF invitiation, which listed about 20 names of owners I couldn't say "no" to playing against.

And look at me now, I'm lurking the CFL board now and then as a follower of the Torpedoes and the Calibri.

I took over Hartford after the second week of preseason in the first year and promptly lead them to a 3-13 record.
