Dear TurfToe,

Just FYI, it seems you've misplaced your starting RB. You'll be able to find him on your second string.

Cheers,

Fonzie

By the way, I'm sure BOS TE Blackwell has some receiving yards.

Yeah, but not enough for any points, so the yards aren't listed.

I'm just biding my time to unleash the Holy terror that is Anthony Jennings. Actually, I wanted to keep him fresh for kick returns (and test his durability) as we struggled mightily on Special Teams last year. :P

Greene's power has kept him in the starting position for now. He's only been set at 2 allowing Jennings to get some playing time behind him. Rookies Twisp (RT) and Jennings will be featured next week, so those who picked AJ will be pleased. Those who have TE Smith on the other hand, will be disheartened by his recent injury. He will be shelved for a week or more.

Probably no updates for this week or next, as I'm away from my home computer.

Well I started off hot and have cooled down quite a bit since.

Right now I'm shooting for not finishing last.

Nice one, it's not often we get quotes from Holliday.

We'll see this gets posted in Jennings locker so he knows that some of the best backs have bad days, even when it's not their first career start like his was.

Dolarific - I should have checked the stats first, looks like Jennings and Twisp were choking in disbelief that they did better than all but one or two Toros at their respective positions.

Talk about choking, we didn't realize the city of Tucson approved the glass house that has been apparently erected around the Toros' stadium. :P

I wasn't trying to throw stones, as there's no denying Holliday had a substandard day (50 yards, 1TD). Rather, I was attempting to point out that an iron-clad, contractually guaranteed* obligation that "those who picked AJ will be pleased" was not delivered. I was not, in fact, pleased with AJ's performance. My attorneys have advised me** to seek damages for both AJ's undelivered performance as well as for psychological damage incurred from your rude comments about the glassiness of my house.

[i4883bba]I'll see you in court![/i4883bba]

*[size=74883bba]probably untrue[/size4883bba]
**[size=74883bba]No attorneys were consulted in the construction of this sentence[/size4883bba]

Judge Judy has ruled in your favor! Sort of...

The Rounders comment regarding the glass house has been determined to be incorrect.

Apparently, the purported glass house is, in fact, made of rock candy. Not only has the "glass house" been deemed substandard, Judge Judy ruled that the entire operation, from here forward referred to as 'the Toros', is nothing more than smoke and mirrors.

The ruling states that the Rounders must apologize for the glass house accusation as it is academically incorrect. It further states that the Toros must apologize to its fans for being frauds.

Medical experts for the defense have determined the coughing to be that of Mr. Holliday. The preponderance of the evidence showed that the choking was caused by an overabundance of bad football karma, mostly generated by Toros GM, Fonzie. The original findings that the choking was caused by, as Judge Judy put it, male DNA, was thrown out after the prosecution failed to provide evidence showing consent to search Mr. Holliday's person. The arguments regarding the source of the male DNA were never concluded since the evidence was tossed. Public opinion has human male DNA leading the DNA of the team mascot, a bull, by a slim margin.

Holliday's 50 yards with a touch was mentioned in the proceedings. Judge Judy stated that 50 yards and a TD might be acceptable on 12 to 15 carries. Those numbers after 25 carries is unacceptable and definitely not the quality of an Anthony Jennings.

Rounders GM, TurfToe, was quick to offer this apology:

"The Rounders sincerely apologize for insinuating that the Toros rock candy house was a glass house. More importantly, we did not mean to imply that they were throwing stones as we all know they have none."

Why yes, yes I am! And thank you for noticing...

emote: posts notice in locker room about not patting selves on back as it may lead to another injury for the Rounders

It looks like Dustin Hayes (20 int.) has a shot at breaking Freddie Mathias's single season record of 33 interceptions. Thomas Kuhn (17 int.) also could be in that mix.
