| Post subject: | Week 2 - Klemu's Gam |
I'm a little late on getting the entries in for this week, so rushing to the deadline, here is the abbreviated version of Klemu's games of the week: Last week I went 1 for 2, not too bad considering how early it is in the season. At this stage, it's really hard to get an idea of how good teams really are. I would have been 2 for 2 if it weren't for a Branden Lin TD pass with only moments remaining in the Seattle - Boise game. Regardless, the two games lived up to their billing as the Games of the week, both coming down to Touchdowns in the last 30 seconds of the game to for teh wins. This week, we've got another couple games that look good. [b20d3e68]#2 - Durham (1-0) at Fargo (1-0)[/b20d3e68] Why should I watch this game? Dwayne Bridges. This guys a stud. You could watch him all day. They should put him on a box of Wheaties. Ronnie Tu would be jealous. Oh yeah, then there's the team on the other side of the ball: Durham. They're pretty good, too, eh? And Edwin Kimber is no slouch. What Should I Expect? Dwayne Bridges will throw the ball. Durham will take a more balanced approach and even play some defense, which Fargo is not apt to do. Klemu's Kall: Vegas says Durham by 3 and Klemu agrees with Vegas. I think that Durham has a better team all around. Bridges may still win MVP in the losing effort as he is apt to do. [b20d3e68]#1 - Boise (1-0) at Detroit (1-0)[/b20d3e68] Why should I watch this game? For the second week in a row, Branden Lin finds himself in the game of the week. How could you not like this matchup? Both teams lost to Honolulu to end their last two seasons. Boise in the Western Conference Championships and Detroit in the CFL Bowls. Despite what the critics have been saying about Boise, they proved that they still had it together last week beating Seattle with 3 seconds left in the game. What Should I Expect? Freddie Mathias tossing balls to TE Brian Manos. 'Mathias a los Manos' is what my friend Motormouth Vazquez calls it. Branden Lin will have a hard time keeping up with Freddie and Co. However, Detroit's running game is still a little suspect without Tommy Wadsworth. Klemu's Kall: Vegas says Detroit by 6, Klemu says Detroit by 3. Branden Lin has some quick feet and will make some plays out of thin air. They'll still lose, but Lin will keep them close. [b20d3e68]Klemu's Gaim uv teh Sux Shreveport (1-0) at Las Vegas (0-1)[/b20d3e68] Why should I watch this game? For the possibility that somebody passes out from heat exhaustion. What should I expect? The two GM's to jaw at each other all game through the walls of the owner's suites while their teams duke it out in the sweltering 104 degree heat. The hot air coming from the owner's suites will make it feel like 110 degrees on the field. Klemu's Kall: Cut the lawn instead. |

Klemu loves Boise! We are among the games of the week constantly. It's awesome. Too bad we're going to get destroyed this week. |
