Pffft. And on top of it all we turned the ball over on downs - twice. I have to check if this is the first time we've been shut out.

How the heck did we beat Baltimore?

Edit: Ah, it would appear that we didn't beat Baltimore, but Baltimore beat themselves (with a little help from our defense).

Having said that, here's the game-clinching TD from future All-HOF QB Harry A:

[code37c3c7b]
2-12-BOS17 (05:23) BOS 1 Ayanbadejo pass completed to 80 Armitage for 83 yards and a touchdown!

NO WAY, it was a tough game thru out. If my defense didn't get the turnovers in the 4th quarter, it would have been a different game. 23-10 Great game, you had about 100 more yards than me....

BTW, 8-4 Hell yeah, My first winning season in the CFL...

I can't believe it. Finally, I'm the beneficiary of the comeback engine.:D

Good game, and I feel your pain Joe.

Go Anchorage!

My pick to win the CFL Bowl, the Wolfpack have won five straight and 7-of-8!

They clinch the division next week with a victory vs. Detroit, coupled with a Seattle and Oregon loss.

The comeback engine sucks. Second time this season its struck me, although the week 1 game was even worse, with the opposing coach's inexplicable play calling at the end. Then there was the 3 point loss and an OT loss. We are horrible at close games.

My defense really missed my best defensive player, LB Garth Dittman, and gave up 45 points to New York. Not only did I lose the game, but now my best offensive player, QB Edward Kimber, is out for next week. In comes Kenneth Lester...a 4th year player and former 3rd round draft pick who hasn't started a game since his rookie year.

On the bright side, Michael Browning caught 2 more TD passes and now has 5 touchdowns in the past 2 weeks.

I needed my defense and Spearman to have big games with Oberg out. Spearman rushes for 108 and Krantz through as many TD's to my team as yours.

My DT who was 1 week away from fully returning from an ACL injury suffered another one, and I will probably have to carry his salary another year as a result.

Tucson at Huntington Beach was a close one. Tuscon pulled it out on a Rubin Castorena 51 field goal late in the 4th quarter. We took an 8 point lead (22-14) in the 4th and I thought we had a shot. Two plays later Tuscon chucks a 78 yard TD. :x

This was a big game for us. We needed it if we were to have a shot at the playoffs.

SS Justin Luck had a nice game with 10 tackles 3 assists and an INT in the loss.

That was an exciting game to watch. I thought we were done for in the 4th, but for the second straight week Milan "Colonel" Hogan tossed up an uncharacteristic bomb for a TD. Surprised the hell out of me, but I'll take it. We've been desperate for a win, even if it is one we didn't really deserve.

On a related note, the entire Ring of Fire played tight games this week, with no game being decided by more than 3 points.

Crazy finish in Detroit, but we managed to hold on to win what should have been an easy win for us. The offense finally decided to show up for a game, after going MIA for the last few weeks, racking up more than 450 yds and converting 10 out of 13 first downs.

This is one of those warm fuzzy feeling wins, beating a team whose 1st round pick in the next draft I hold. 8)

Also, my division rivals both lost, thanks to San A and TB.

On the downside, I lost my best defensive player for the remainder of the regular season, hopefully he will be back for the playoffs... Also on the minus side, Boyd really needs to stop fumbling balls away in key situtations. Last week, he fumbled the winning TD on the opponent goal line on the last play, and this week, he fumbled twice, one returned for a TD and the other on my last drive allowing Shreveport to come back within a 2 pt extension, which fortunately, and thanks to DE Flowers, failed...

Yeah, I gotta talk to my coach about that. Who makes that freakin' call? A run on the conversion when you haven't been able to run the ball all day? After you just threw two TD's to have a chance?

That 1st rounder will be better than I expected. I thought that Shreveport had a chance this year. Now, the rooks get to play . . .

For what it's worth, I'll find a way to lose the game anyway. So take heart.
