I decided to compile a quick list. I don't know all the stories on these guys, so it'd be great if people could fill in the blanks with whatever info they have. I basically tried to make a top 5 busts of each year from 2004-2006. Some years were bustier than others, so it was a bit difficult. It's also possible I missed somebody so feel free to chime in.

The busts:

2004:

[quotedf5a1bb="Taco"] And I'd like to point out that he was drafted by Seattle, not Durham.[/quotedf5a1bb]

Fixed the mistake. There was a typo in the rookie draft forum that lead to my repeating the mistake.

Glad you enjoyed it, I had fun making the list.

My second round pick last year was bad. After he was drafted his potential shot down. He entered back into the draft though, so we'll see if he gets drafted this time around.

Both of those picks for me were indeed injury casualties... although Kasowski was a bit of a bust either way, Musial looked to be a serious star in the making before his injury..

Coming soon on this list, DE Clyde Montague!

Boy did he drop after the draft.

Man, I suck at the draft. 3 crummy guys three years in a row.

That's why I traded all my picks away this year! :D

Bronson went down with a couple of huge injuries. I guess you can consider him a bust. *shrug*

That's why I wish the player cards had an injury history on them. I wasn't part of the CFL when Bronson was drafted so I had no idea what his story was.

I'd agree that he wasn't a true bust, but in terms of being a disappointment as far as where he was drafted and how his career turned out he was a bust.

I've actually done pretty well with my 1st rounders.

2004 1st rounder Tyrone McDonald hasn't been great, but he's still in the league and a borderline starter.
2005 1st rounder Carl Blades is one of the top #2 corners in the league
2006 1st rounder Willie Golalic has lived up to the hype and is turning into one of the top corners in the league.
2007 1st rounder Colin Sawyer didn't have a great 1st year, but he threw for 2949 yards and completed more than half his passes.

Al Jordan should be another solid addition to this list.

As a guy who also wanted to trade up to get Titone, but didn't even get a chance to counter FFF's offer for 1.1, I'd also like to join the list of those hoping for a bust.

Hence the nickname Al "The Truck" Jordan is born.
