Let's get it started....

It looks like Titone is going #1... But what happens after that? I'm pretty excited to see how things unfold...

P.S. You people need to wake up earlier ;)

I'm waiting to hear back on a couple trade offers, and then I'll make my move.

The 1.1 seems a bit crazy this year..

For you to trade for it yesterday and then turn around and deal it again would be odd ;)...

But, I guess you have that luxury right now... maybe part of it depends on whether you deal Bridges?

Hmm...

BTW - I'm on aim (wademoore) if anyone wants to talk trade for the 1.5 ....

Two things:
1. I don't have Bridges, that is Fargo.
2. There is a 100% chance I will trade the #1 pick.

Oops, too early ;)...

That is so freakin' weird that the pick gets flipped like that.. guess it's based on team need...

And I'll add a third..

3. Titone is going #1

Now we pull back the curtain to reveal the true mastermind behind all of this. FFF and I were discussing the 3rd pick. He wanted Titone and I wanted the package of picks he was offering, but it became clear that Fargo would take him at #2. When he suggested to me that I trade up with General Mike to #1, I thought he was joking, but after a second it all made sense.

Knowing that the QB would be selected first, Mike would be assured to get one of the two top tackles at number 3, so any picks he got in a trade from me were just a bonus on top of getting what he already wanted. I would be able to trade down from the top spot for the package of draft picks I wanted, and FFF gets the quarterback he wants.

FFF is a damn genius.

Ladies and Gentlemen of Detroit, I give you the QB of our future, Mr Johnnie TITONE!

This will forever be known as "The Great Fargo Screw Job". Knew I jumped the gun on putting Bridges on the freaking block. Oh well, going to probably get the two defensive guys I need anyway.

This is why I don't understand this move..

Why overpay to get a young QB when you have one of the best QBs on the game who probably has at least 4 or 5 good years left in him, if not more? Seems with all of those picks you had you could get something that fit bigger needs?

Wow, this does suck for Fargo... Probably did show your cards too soon with the QB... I doubt anyone would have thought you made the move to get Titone when you had Bridges... and you could have put him on the block immediately after grabbing Titone...

Yeah, trading up to first wouldn't have made sense to me until Bridges was on the block.

The thing I'm really curious about now is where Muir will end up. He looks awesome.

Well yeah, I realize that. I was just curious where he'll end up. I already have two good receivers signed for the next 4 years.

I don't know why I'm getting Boise and Fargo so mixed up today... I guess it's that whole 'city in the middle of nowhere' thing...

Anyway... I guess Fargo was hoping for last minute trade offers?
