But the excitement didn't end there, and soon afterwards the Chicago Hitmen traded up two spots to select LT [b5c577bb]Al Jordan[/b5c577bb] from Notre Dame. Jordan was virtually unbeatable in college, and has the rare combination of strength, size, explosion, and agility. Atlantic City then selected LT [b5c577bb]Craig VanEck[/b5c577bb] from Arizona State at #3. VanEck is short for a CFL offensive lineman (6'0"), but he should also develop into a superstar and will have the job of protecting Colin Sawyer's blind side. The #4 pick raised some eyebrows, as the Fargo Boxcars selected SS [b5c577bb]Ricardo Campo[/b5c577bb] out of Iowa State. Most draft boards had Campo going around #12 overall. The Tampa Bay Torpedoes are currently on the clock with the #5 pick and are talking to several teams about trades.
