| Post subject: | Draft problem |
I'm currently entering the picks we have made, and I noticed a problem. El Paso is over the salary cap and therefore lost its 3rd round pick (3.10) as a penalty. However, they already selected RCB B.J. Alcott with that pick. Here's how I'd like to handle it if it's okay with all of the teams involved. First, we need to get VPI to put Alcott back into the draft pool. Then, the following picks will be made: 3.11 (75) HBE - LCB Leslie Dawkins 3.12 (76) BOI - TE Ike Roberts 3.13 (77) SAC - P Dean Palmer 3.14 (78) TUL - RDT Renaldo Mills 3.15 (79) ELP - RCB B.J. Alcott 3.16 (80) ALB - LCB Norbert Durham 3.17 (81) ELP - SE Cole Mok The only way this isn't fair is if Huntington Beach, Boise, Sacramento, or Tulsa would have picked CB Alcott with their 3.11-3.14 picks. It also isn't fair if Albany would have picked WR Mok with their 3.16 pick. I'm going to PM VPI to have him make these changes as soon as he can, but please let me know if anyone has a problem with this solution. |

Who lost the 3.21 pick? I only see El Paso at 3.10 losing a pick, in game. |

I believe the 3.21 was lost by Cleveland last year or even the year before. |

I was not going to take Alcott either. |

Also, El Paso selected LG Jason Brewer with 3.17. According to this plan, he is still available. If someone wants him, just say so and pick a low punter instead. (once VPI updates the utility this shouldn't be a problem) |

I want my punter, not that scrub CB. |

Another problem - I somehow got a FB selected for me in the 4th round. I didn't have the utility turned on to select for me, as I haven't had a chance to restock it. How did the FB get selected? According to the rules Taco laid out, I shouldn't have received an autopick until I had slid down 5 spots in the draft (which hadn't happened). I [i9a8f8f2]really[/i9a8f8f2] do not want that fullback. And do the draft time limits apply to the weekend? |

Your time limit ran out this afternoon and no players in your list, so... And that sliding 5 picks doesnt apply anymore, since when someones time runs out in the utility it doesn't skip them, it just gets stuck. I'm sure it can be fixed though. |

And while I understand you were following orders and the game ranked FB as my greatest need - since I currently have none under contract - *nobody* has FB as their greatest need under any circumstances! I had planned to resign my old FB once I cleared some cap space, but now I'm stuck with a wasted 4th rounder. Is any way this can be changed? At the time that I'd logged on and noticed this, only one team after me had picked. And none of the teams that have picked since 4.24 have taken one of the players I would've taken (although a couple of players I would've taken are now gone). Is there any way I can swap the FB picked for me in the 4th round for RB Grant Robbins? |
