Lang was traded from the Cleveland Flats to the Boston Panthers during the offseason after three seasons where he only had 3 100+ yard games and 7 TDs total. Today he rushed 29 times for 169 yards, including a 64 yard TD run. He helped the Panthers dominate the defending champion Denver Dynomite: the final score was only 17-10 but Boston rushed for 318 yards as a team while holding Denver to 59 rushing yards.

In other action, the Detroit Vampire's #1 overall pick, QB [bbeec8e7]Johnnie Titone[/bbeec8e7], played the whole game against the Las Vegas Rounders and finished 16-42 for 121 yards, 1 TD, and 6 INTs. Detroit lost 20-17 in overtime.

The Oregon Ice offense got off to a poor start against the Charleston Monitors, allowing a safety and a 79 yard fumble return in the first quarter to put them behind 12-0. But [bbeec8e7]Thomas Kuhn[/bbeec8e7] and [bbeec8e7]Matt Brunner[/bbeec8e7] led them back to a 28-25 victory. Kuhn finished with 373 passing yards, with 174 of them going to Brunner.

Tight end [bbeec8e7]Erich Frazee[/bbeec8e7] scored Arizona's only touchdown in a 24-16 loss against Cleveland, but later suffered an ACL injury to his knee and is expected to miss the entire 2008 season.

Tampa Bay QB [bbeec8e7]Maurice Brown[/bbeec8e7] threw for 247 yards and 4 TDs in a blowout of the Seattle Thunderbirds, 28-6.

Hey, it's actually not that bad.
Plus, it's only preseason and he played mostly with the 2nd string O-line and was under pressure all day long.
