I have no idea what to expect from my team.. Nolan Shannon showed sparks during preseason, but also threw quite a few intercpetions...

Then there's the Defense.. our once dominant squad has been a bit of swiss cheese...

I think we cleaned some of that up..

We get a big test against our HUGE rivals in Durham... we have been a bit like the redskins vs. the cowboys lately in this rivalry...

Well, we went 4-0 in the preseason, which is probably a good indication that we'll be in contention for the #1 overall draft pick next year.

We play New Orleans at New Orleans. It is going to be a tough game. Anytime you face a team of their caliber, you are going to be in for a rough ride. We will do our best. Hoffman is going to have to make some passes and hit some of our targets. We can burn their secondary and our defense may hold up.

We open with Anchorage, and while they don't have all the talent they had last year, they still have enough to worry us. We were pretty inconsistent in the preseason, but I guess we'll see what happens tonight.

We travel to Santa Cruz to take on my former team in what figures to be a big game. We were 0-2 against them last year, and Alexis Rounds will have his revenge. Word on the street is that he's promising 200 yards.

The Pride takes on the San Antonio Stingers this week. Although Shreveport is 4-6 against this team, we are 3-1 against the current owner. I'm hoping for a win, but the Stingers have a good team and it could go either way, especially since were playing on the road.

Lots of question marks in Huntington Beach. I am tired of all the interceptions Jesus Dennis throws so the last year's first round pick Clarence Lincoln gets his shot. It could be rough but he shows a lot of promise. We also have a new running back in rookie Jorge Riddols. At cornerback, Nathan Unknow is still holding out but I think we will be ok until we can get him back on the field.

Take a look at NOS' injury situation. Those who play them early in the year better make good use out of the opportunity. Those who face them when healthy may get a bit of a culture shock...

I agree that it will have the feel of a playoff game, cause it will probably keep one of us out of the playoffs. I do believe it is the best way to open up a season, you get to know where you stand one way or the other.
