Great win for the Privateers in week 1(even though wrong export was in), I didnt think we had a chance but when the CFL single season leading rusher only gets 10 carries for 46 yards you must thank the Dragons playcalling. And my first round pick K William Lyon went 3-3 including the game winner in OT (after a touchdown was called back for illegal formation) I have to feel good about taking a kicker in the first round. Now with injuries more cuts have to be made that will completely screw me next year. A fine mess I have gotten myself into, but as long as we keep beating our rival, the Dragons, the ownership is happy :D

Good start to the season. The run defense was great holding New York to 17 yards on 16 carries. New York either lost yards or gained 0 on 7 of 13 drives.

SLB Robinson may have earned himself an extension with 1 sack, 1 hurry, a 32 yard interception return, and a 55 yard fumble return for a TD.

The only negative was that Spearman was held to only 3.1 yards per carry and had another fumble.

1. 10-6, we will not collapse again this year
2. Toss up between Sacramento and Huntington Beach.. and Santa Cruz and Long Beach. I have no idea.
3. Honolulu
[bbb7eb15]4. Everyone will be shocked at how little I run with Alexis Rounds, now that my passing game has legitimate targets.[/bbb7eb15]
5. HB's 7th round rookie RB wins Rookie of the Year.
6. The entire CFL gets meatholed.

You let the cat out of the bag early :D

Solid performance from Denver. Since halfway through last season Marcus Garibaldi has been fantastic.
Great to get a win on the road against the team we expect to be our closest title challengers this season.

[quotebcf8ce3="TLK"]The Good: It's Chicago and it's a win. We were very lucky that Jeffery McNeil missed 3 FG's.

The Bad: I'm not happy with a single aspect of my team. No rushing attack, receivers dropping passes, no rush defense etc....

The Ugly: Toby Radke was brought in to be an improvement over Lang, however he put up very Langesque numbers. 12 carries for 22 carries. Your starter for Week 2... Wilbur Sullivan.[/quotebcf8ce3]

Damn Kicker.

A few interesting stats from week 1:

- Las Vegas only completed 9 of 30 passes in their win at Honolulu. It was better than their opener last year when they went 4 of 25 in a blowout loss to Tucson.

- Honolulu was the only team in the league not penalized in their opening game.

- Chicago outgained Cleveland 359-231, outrushed them 247-70, dominated the time of possession 37:35-22:25 and ran almost twice as many plays 84-48 and still lost. In terms of stats alone they dominated Cleveland more than Detroit dominated Albany in their 30-0 shutout.

-Arthur Brady rushed for 218 yards in the loss, bringing Chicago's all time record to 4-2 in games when he goes over 200 yards and 18-23 in games when goes over 100.

I wonder if that has anything to do with their two best pass catchers going down in the first 3 offensive plays?

WR Feeney got hurt on the first offensive play (after Honolulu's 3-and-out) which was a run play. On the third play from scrimmage for the offense, FB Woolridge went down on a run play in which he didn't carry the ball.

We'll see if Jackpot and company can turn things around in Week 2...
