| Post subject: | Division rankings |
As is customary at the end of each season, let's take a look at how divisions stack up against each other. This year's cream of the crop is the Cavalry division, with 2 teams going to the postseason and no team under .500. Congrats to all 4 Cavalry regiments who went from worst in 2007 to best in 2008! This year's lowest of scums is the Great Lakes division. Booo! Here are the rankings: 1. Cavalry 107 pts 2. Atlantic 60 pts 3. Ring of Fire 30 pts 4. Ring of Cold 27 pts 5. Yankee 26 pts 6. San Andreas -33 pts 7. Deep South -105 pts 8. Great Lakes -118 pts |

| Post subject: | Strength of schedule |
Finally, a quick look at the strenght of schedules of each team. Arizona had the most brutal schedule of all, playing no less than 9 games against playoff-bound teams. They also played only 2 games against teams with a losing record, which incidently, Arizona won. This probably explains at least in part their 3-13 record. On the other hand, Albany had the easiest schedule of all. [i7b2fa67]Note: Keep in mind, this strength of schedule is not a true SoS(ie based solely on won/loss record), but rather the sum of all FFF points scored by a team's opponents. While not completely accurate, I believe it gives a good enough overall picture.[/i7b2fa67] Here's the table: Team SOS Arizona 391 Boston 228 Oregon 177 Las Vegas 167 Fargo 148 El Paso 147 Anchorage 145 Tampa Bay 133 Tucson 96 Seattle 89 Honolulu 71 Charleston 66 Baltimore 57 Santa Cruz 42 Durham 34 Atlantic City 33 Tulsa 29 Hartford 8 Denver -24 New York -32 Shreveport -89 Long Beach -98 New Orleans -106 San Antonio -116 Huntington Beach -128 Sacramento -139 Memphis -156 Cleveland -164 Boise -177 Detroit -196 Chicago -277 Albany -334 |

[quote1f98753="timmynausea"]Arizona really did play a brutal schedule with 14 games against teams .500 or better and 9 games against playoff teams.[/quote1f98753] And one of those games robbed this playoff team of their first-ever division championship. And a question for you: which playoff team had the toughest SOS? That's right, your Tucson Toros did. The fact that we persevered in the face of such difficult opposition is a testament to my mad make-believe football team management skillz. I'm awesome. |

I knew Albany was weak. If he did not beat me this year for the Delta State FOF championship, then he neever will. I hope we get to play next year. |

I too hope to battle for the Delta State crown again and soon. |
