[i70b1ec1]Boston[/i70b1ec1] - (AP): After a dismal 4-12 season, the rumors out of Boston point to a wholesale restructuring of the team, with several star players on their way out.

"I'm not willing to comment on our plans for the offseason at this point" said GM flere-imsaho, who was attending a charity dinner in Copley Square.

Other members of the organization were more forthcoming, however. A source within the organization, who spoke to us on condition of anonymity, said that several players with big contracts had been told they can have their agents talk to other teams.

Among those speculated to be on their way out of Boston:

* Wide Receiver Sydney Armitage: this will likely come as good news to Armitage, who has been seriously underutilized on this run-first team. If he does leave Boston, we expect him to put up very big numbers with his new club.

* Running Back Toothpick Lang: Lang had a emergent year in Boston until suffering a season-ending MCL injury. Reports are that he has healed 100%, though, and would be a big asset to any team. It's unclear if Boston is really willing to part with him, though.

* Defensive End Ralph Crank: Since being traded to Boston, Crank has continued to improve his production and was one of the few bright spots on the D-Line last year. However, it is thought that his considerable contract makes him an unaffordable luxury for the team going into the 2009 season.

* Linebacker Rey Lozier: A bright talent at Linebacker, Lozier has really shined after being given a starting role two seasons ago. Sources within the organization, however, say he's probably another luxury in a LB corps that seems fine with Mattos, Ericson and Jefferson.
