Looking to move around different people and Schmidt won't kill my cap numbers like other folks. My scout considers him to be a superior run blocker, fairly mediocre as a pass blocker with decent blocking strength. Much of his run blocking skill still seems to be in green bar. He started all of last season and did an acceptable job with his run blocking numbers but had problems keeping his quarterbacks safe. His cap cost is currently 4.5M this year and 5.6 next. He's looking to extend for 5 years with 4M in bonus with a 480K salary this year and 5.6M the last 4 years of the contract. |
